摘要： A circuit breaker includes two or more poles electrically connected between a power supply and a contactor. Each of the two or more poles comprises a switch. The circuit breaker includes one or more voltage measuring devices configured to measure at least one phase-to-phase voltage level, and one or more current detecting devices configured to detect current going through each of the two or more poles. The circuit breaker further includes a control circuitry configured to: monitor the at least one phase-to-phase voltage level; in response to determining the at least one phase-to-phase voltage level is within a threshold range, close corresponding switches; in response to detecting current flowing through at least one of the two or more poles, maintain the corresponding switches in a closed position; and close all additional switches associated with the two or more poles after a period of time.

摘要： A remote-controlled mechanism according to an embodiment is used for coupling to a protective switching device to use a controllable drive device of the remote-controlled mechanism to actuate the coupled protective switching device. To this end, the remote-controlled mechanism includes: an actuating element operatively connectable to an actuating element of the coupled protective switching device and actuatable either by a remotely controllable drive device of the remote-controlled mechanism or manually; one or more sensor devices for capturing position data relating to a position of the actuating element of the remote-controlled mechanism; and a controller for evaluating the captured position data and for controlling the drive device via control commands. The controller is designed to disable the drive device upon an evaluation of the position data and/or of the control commands revealing that the actuating element of the remote-controlled mechanism has been switched off manually.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for controlling a circuit breaker in an electrical energy supply network. A switching signal is generated by a protective or control device of the energy supply network and the switching signal is transmitted to a control unit of the circuit breaker. The control unit is caused to open the switching contacts of the circuit breaker upon reception of the switching signal. In order to ensure a switching operation which is as fast as possible even in those energy supply networks in which phases of the current to be switched by a circuit breaker which are free of zero crossings can occur, a current flowing through the circuit breaker is recorded and is checked for the occurrence of zero crossings. The transmission of the signal for opening the switching contacts is prevented until at least one zero crossing has been detected.

摘要： A circuit breaker includes a current entry which conducts an electrical current via a wound coil conductor strip of a first coil to a first fixed contact, and includes a contact rocker which can be moved between two switching positions. The contact rocker includes mutually connected contact limbs. A first switching position of the contact rocker, electrically connects the first fixed contact with a second fixed contact which is connected via a wound coil conductor strip of a second coil to a current exit for dissipating an electrical current flowing through the contact limbs of the contact rocker and the coil conductor strips of the coils to a current exit of the circuit breaker. A high electrical current which flows through the wound coil conductor strips of the coils and through the contact limbs of the contact rocker produces a magnetic field which generates a switching force which moves the contact rocker from the first switching position into a second switching position in which the two fixed contacts are electrically separated to interrupt the electrical current.

摘要： A motor operator for a circuit breaker has a motor driven carriage which engages a circuit breaker handle and drives it between an on position and a reset position beyond off. When the carriage drives the handle to the on position, an on limit switch is actuated to deenergize the motor. A fastener releasably secures a bracket slidably mounted on the carriage to a fixed member when the carriage reaches the on position of the handle so that if the circuit breaker is not reset and rebounds toward a trip position, the bracket is extended and maintains actuation of the on limit switch. Hence, the motor is not repeatedly energized and burned out in unsuccessful attempts to turn on the circuit breaker. A similar arrangement prevents the motor from cycling when the off relay is latched.

The free end of the cantilevered latch spring member deflects toward the slider plate to disengage from the housing and permit the slider plate to enter the inner electrical position thereof.

摘要： An electrical switching device such as a low voltage power circuit breaker, can have a cover with a slot-like opening for providing access to a switch lever of the switching device. The cover can extend to cover over any chambers for shunt releases and/or auxiliary switches etc. which chambers can be located on both sides of the switch lever within the enclosure. The cover can also have fastening devices for attachment of a mechanical rotary actuator or a motor drive. The cover is connected to the enclosure in a manner which provides for a simple opening and closing of the cover, and essentially eliminates the danger of losing and mixing up such covers. The cover is designed with bearing legs which are bent at an angle of 90 degrees in relation to the cover plane. The bearing legs are preferably parallel to one another and laterally overlap the enclosure. The cover is mounted to the enclosure by means of the bearing legs and pivot bearing with coaxially interlocking pivots and pivot bearing openings.
