The microprocessor includes an event register controlling an event according to an event-processing instruction set provided in an instruction set architecture (ISA) and an event controller transmitting externally generated events into the microprocessor. Therefore, the microprocessor may be useful to reduce its unnecessary power consumption by suspending the execution of its program when an instruction decoded to execute the program is an event-processing instruction, and also to cut off its unnecessary power consumption that is caused for an interrupt delay period since the program of the microprocessor may be executed again by immediately re-running the microprocessor with the operation of the event register and the event controller when external events are generated.

The branch table module receives commands from the master module and manages a branch table by using only the lower 10 bits of a simple internet protocol (IP) address of the commands. The tree table module is coupled to the master module and to the branch table module, in which the tree table module manages a binary tree.

摘要： Provided is a TOE hardware which includes intrusion prevention system hardware for inspection and real-time interrupt against static/dynamic attacks over network as well as fast TCP/IP processing, and a packet processing method in the TOE hardware. When a network packet is received, it is segmented to extract a header and a payload. A pattern matching inspection is performed for the payload, and the payload passed the inspection is transferred to the host. For the header, a header inspection is performed and a TCP/IP processing is performed on the header passed the inspection. Processing on the payload is performed in parallel with processing on the header. Accordingly, the packet processing speed of the TOE hardware increases.
