    • To control at least one solenoid operated fuel injection valve in dependence upon the rate of air flow, and particularly to avoid interference with stray signals generated in the electrical system associated with an internal combustion engine, an air flow meter is arranged in the induction pipe of the engine which has an output providing signals in digital form, for example by controlling the frequency of an osciallator which is then converted into digital signals by a frequency/digital converter. The digital signals are applied to a computing circuit which includes a digital differential analyzer and an interpolator, or function generator which is connected therein and so set that it simulates the operating characteristics of the internal combustion engine to modify the digital signal and provide an output which can be converted by a frequency/time converter to a timing signal to control the solenoid of the fuel injection valve and open the fuel injection valve for a predetermined period of time, depending on rate of air flow, or other engine parameters, and as adjusted for the operating characteristics of the engine over its operating range.

    • A device for calculating and displaying the total gasoline sale price at a gasoline pumping station. A unit price selecting and displaying mechanism controls three fluidic encoders which translate the unit price of gasoline into binary-coded decimal numbers representing tenths, hundredths, and thousandths of a cent respectively. Fluidic decade circuits representing tenths, hundreds and thousandths of a cent respectively are arranged to receive these outputs from the encoders, so that the appropriate cost amounts are added in each decimal digit position. The addition is performed in response to each one of a series of fluidic ''''add'''' pulses from a gasoline flowmeter. Each decade circuit includes a BCD adder receiving an addend input from its associated encoder, a BCD accumulator which receives the adder sum output, and a return path which reinserts the accumulator total as an augend input into the BCD adder. In response to the flowmeter pulses, the adder adds the unit price digit available from the encoder to the previous total available from the accumulator, and thus generates a new total for the accumulator. Each decade circuit develops a carry output to the next more significant decade.

    • The present invention is to provide an improved fluidic counter device, wherein, instead of conventional devices, a pair of air suction ports are provided and preferably provided a pair of vents connected to respective output passages in order to obtain more stable characteristics than those of conventional device. The present invention relates to an improved fluidic counter device and, more particularly a fluidic counter device having more stable characteristics. The fluidic counter device has been used for providing two alternate outputs with one input, and a binary scale fluidic counter device, together can be made by connecting a number of the fluidic counter devices. A conventional fluidic counter device has been unstable in operation, and difficult to manufacture, because the device must be provided with an accurately formed circular path in passages in order to generate a circulating flow. Therefore, an object of the invention is to provide an improved fluidic counter device of more stable characteristics, which can be operated by air. Another object of the invention is to provide a new fluidic counter device in which the described disadvantages of the prior art are removed and yet the same functions are obtainable by one device. A still further object of the invention is to provide an improved fluidic counter device in which an accurate switching is obtainable by using only one device and which is easily manufactured, in comparison with a conventional device.

    • A toy electrical computer comprises a set of switches arranged in lines and in columns and mobile bars representing input data and movable into two different positions. Each mobile bar is provided with opening therein for the reception of detachable pegs having conducting portions, the number and arrangement of the pegs in the openings being variable in dependence upon the selected program. A plurality of indicators each represent an output datum and each is connectable between an electric current supply source and one or more of the columns of switches in accordance with the selected program. The switches of each column are connected in series by means of substantially C-shaped, resilient conducting blades the two legs of which respectively form terminals of two adjacent switches of the column. The adjacent legs of adjacent blades in a column are insulated from each other except when electrically interconnected by way of said peg conducting portion.
