摘要： Disclosed is a method of determining line feed error in an image forming apparatus for printing an image, said image forming apparatus comprising a print head having a head sensor configured to sense information from the image printed on a print medium, said method comprising the steps of printing a first swath of the image on the print medium, repositioning the print head relative to the print medium by at least one line feed distance, determining a line feed error based upon information sensed from the printed first swath by the head sensor, and printing, using the determined line feed error, a second swath of the halftone image on the print medium.

Specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for communicating information between electronic devices via a barcode image sequence. In a typical embodiment, a barcode image sequence is displayed on the display screen of a first electronic device. A second electronic device reads and decodes the barcode image sequence. The second electronic device displays an acknowledgement on the display screen of the second electronic device. The acknowledgement is read by the first electronic device.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, an optical scanner, a development device, a movable density sensor, a density sensor driver, and a processor. The optical scanner includes a light source to emit light, and irradiates a surface of the photoconductor in a main scanning direction with the light to form a latent image on the surface of the photoconductor. The development device develops the latent image into a toner image. The density sensor detects unevenness in density of the toner image in the main scanning direction. The density sensor driver moves the density sensor in the main scanning direction. The processor corrects a driving signal for the light source according to image data to reduce the unevenness in density in the main scanning direction, according to positional data of the density sensor in the main scanning direction and an output value of the density sensor.

Based on a location of a defect in the image reading section or in the density reference member, the image processing section determines whether or not to at least partially restrict either a read range of the image reading section when the image reading section reads an original document or usage of a result obtained by reading the original document by the image reading section. The image processing section determines whether or not to apply a smoothing process to each density value detected by reading the original document by the image reading section. The determination is made based on a comparison between a normal-value determining threshold and each density value detected by reading the density reference member by the image reading section.
