    • An image reading apparatus can inhibit image disturbance and density unevenness. The image reading apparatus includes a first conveyance roller pair, a back side image reading unit, a second conveyance roller pair, a front side image reading unit, a third conveyance roller pair, and a control unit. The control unit compares the image data read by the back side image reading unit and the image data read by the front side image reading unit to calculate a relative magnification variation there between, corrects the reading time of the front side image reading unit for each line based on the calculated relative magnification variation, and performs, in accordance with correction of the reading time, image correction of the image data of the front side image reading unit which has been corrected with respect to the reading time.

    • An image reading device includes a conveying unit, reading unit, detecting unit, and control unit. The conveying unit conveys two sheets of the original one by one. The reading unit reads a sheet passing past a reading position. The detecting unit detects a sheet passing past a detection position upstream of the reading position in a conveying direction. The control unit controls the reading unit to start a reading process when a leading edge of sheet reaching a position upstream of the reading position by a first distance, controls the reading unit to stop the reading process when a trailing edge of sheet reaching a position downstream of the reading position by a second distance, determines an interspace between the trailing edge of sheet and a leading edge of a subsequently-conveyed sheet, and updates the first distance and the second distance based on the interspace.

    • A scanning controller, a scanning apparatus and a method for performing the scanning controller are disclosed herein. The scanning controller includes an image data processing unit, a memory control unit, a dummy line control unit, a buffer condition control unit, a motor condition control unit, a motor controlling unit and a relation control unit. Based on at least one of several predetermined contrastive relationships among each stored data amount with regard to an image buffer and its corresponding motor move timing, the relation control unit controls generation of a motor move timing from the motor controlling unit to drive a motor with variance of a scanned data generation rate and simultaneously enable determination of the dummy line control unit on which part of scanned image data should be skipped by catching of the image data processing unit.
