    • An integrated circuit is configured to be coupled to a current sensing element and a set resistor having a resistance Rset. The integrated circuit comprises a sense resistor having a resistance Rsense. The sense resistor is coupled to an input of the integrated circuit such that a first sensed current from the current sensing element flows through the sense resistor. The integrated circuit also comprises a reference resistor having a resistance Rreference which is a fixed multiple of Rsense; and circuitry configured to produce an output current such that the value of the output current is proportional to a value of Rset and a fixed ratio between Rsense and Rreference.

    • An electrical device assembly includes an electrical device and a plug connector adapted to be received thereby. The electrical device includes a housing having a rear surface and an aperture in the rear surface. A ground strap is connected to the housing and is adapted to secure the electrical device to an electrical box. A plurality of contact blades are disposed in the electrical device and are accessible through the aperture. One of the contact blades is a ground contact blade. A conductive member extends between the ground contact blade and the ground strap. The plug connector includes a plurality of contact members adapted to engage the plurality of contact blades in the electrical device. A plurality of wires extend outwardly from the plurality of contact members such that the plurality of wires are substantially parallel to the rear surface of the electrical device when the plug connector is connected to the electrical device, thereby providing an electrical device assembly having a low profile.

    • A directional fault location and isolation system for a three phase electric power circuit that identifies a faulted segment by determining the direction of the fault at multiple tap points in the electric power circuit. The directional fault controller, which may be a centralized controller or a number of peer-to-peer controllers located at the tap points, includes communication equipment for exchanging information with the monitoring equipment and the sectionalizing equipment at each sectionalizing control point, which includes the tap points and may also include the substations. The controller also includes processing equipment that determines the directionality of a fault on the power line at each current monitoring device, identifies a faulted line section by identifying a change in the directionality of the fault associated with the faulted line section, and operates one or more of the sectionalizing switches to isolate the faulted line section from the circuit.

    • A system is provided for charging a battery with an AC adapter. The system includes a first closed loop electrical path between the battery and the AC adapter. The first closed loop electrical path includes a first monitoring circuit for monitoring at least one first parameter of the system and a control circuit for dynamically adjusting the AC adapter output to the battery in response to the at least one first parameter exceeding an associated predetermined threshold.
