    • A method and apparatus are provided for decoding an LDPC code including a plurality of check nodes and a plurality of variable nodes. The apparatus includes a check node selection scheduler that selects at least one of the check nodes, an LLR memory that stores an input LLR value for the variable nodes as an initial LLR value and stores updated LLR values for variable nodes connected to the selected check node, and a check node message memory that stores a check node message indicating a result value of check node processing on the selected check node. The apparatus further includes at least one united node processor that generates a variable node message by subtracting the check node message of the selected check node from corresponding LLR values read from the LLR memory, performs check node processing on the variable node message, calculates an LLR value updated by adding the variable node message to the check node processing result value, and delivers the calculated LLR value to the LLR memory.

    • The present invention provides an optical recording medium in which the spot size of incident laser beam, focused on the medium by a far-field optic system characterized by λ and NA, is further reduced and maintained below the diffraction-limited size by means of material characteristics of the medium while reproducing from and recording on the information layer of the recording medium, thus making it possible to record and reproduce a high density of information exceeding the resolution limit of the optic system.A high density optical recording medium according to the present invention adopts a combination of two different super-resolution layers of mutually complementary optical characteristics with increasing light power.The combination of two super-resolution layers is made in either of two different types: for one type, each of the two super-resolution layers, having a respective threshold light intensity (or temperature) for the onset of change in optical transmittance, produces an increasing spot size of the transmitted beam with increasing light power once a respective threshold light intensity (or temperature) is exceeded, and for the other type, one layer produces an increasing spot size of the transmitted beam with increasing light power whereas the other layer exhibits a reverse trend.

    • A method for disclosing, by a Converged Personal Network Service (CPNS) server, Personal Network (PN) information in a CPNS environment is provided. The method includes receiving a PN registration request message including information indicating an information openness level of a Personal Network Entity (PNE), which has been transmitted from the PNE, from a Personal Network GateWay (PN GW) for PN registration of the PNE; checking and storing the information indicating the information openness level of the PNE from the PN registration request message; receiving a service search request message for requesting information regarding a CPNS service provided by the PNE from a predetermined PN GW connected to a predetermined PNE; and checking the information indicating the information openness level of the PNE and providing the information regarding the CPNS service provided by the PNE to the predetermined PNE via the predetermined PN GW.
