    • The present invention comprises a U-bolt connector for connecting pairs of stator coil headers 2 with ball headers 6 comprising, a U-bolt 16, top capping pieces 18,20, bottom capping pieces 20, 21, a variable piece 24, and a tightening mechanism 26. The top capping pieces 18,20 secure one ball connector in the pair of stator coil headers and the bottom capping pieces 20, 21 secure another ball connector in the pair of stator coil headers, while the variable piece 24 is disposed between the top capping pieces and the bottom capping pieces. The U-bolt 16 embraces the top capping pieces 18,20, the bottom capping pieces 20, 21 and the variable piece 24, where the tightening mechanism 26 holds the U-bolt tightly to the top capping pieces, the bottom capping pieces and the variable piece and is located at the end of the U-bolt.

    • A step-down in-line butt connector receives a pair of wires, one at either end, wherein the wires are each of a different gauge. A hollow tubular body member has a first end and a second end such that the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the first end is larger relatively to the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the second end respectively, while the wall thickness of the body member remains relatively constant between the first end and the second end. An opening is located medially of the body member and may have a stop thereat. The body member is received within a heat shrinkable hollow sleeve that is heated after each end of the body member is crimped in order for the sleeve to form around the body member. A heat activated adhesive within the hollow sleeve helps seal the overall system.

    • Described is an adaptable electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI) shield adapted to reduce unwanted EMI/RFI at an electrically conductive equipment panel having an elongated aperture. The aperture provides external access to a mounting bracket of an expansion board assembly. The mounting bracket (e.g., for a PCI expansion board) abuts an interior surface of the equipment panel at the elongated aperture and includes an angled flange extending through the elongated aperture. The EMI/RFI shield includes an electrically conductive shield extension slidable between open and closed positions. The shield extension includes a flange receptacle for receiving the angled flange of the mounting bracket and a shielding plate. The shielding plate overlaps an adjustable portion of the elongated aperture such that in a closed position the shielding plate together with the mounting bracket cover substantially the entire elongated aperture.
