    • It is intended to provide an image forming apparatus capable of conducting charge adjustment of post-transfer residual toner appropriately by securing a contact area of a temporarily-collecting member and an electrode, without applying excessive deformation load to the temporarily-collecting member. There are arranged a brush roller for temporarily collecting post-transfer residual toner, and an electrode of which inwardly-curved face being in contact with the brush roller in a toner charge apparatus. Thereby, charged-in-opposite-polarity toner, out of post-transfer residual toner, is collected by the brush roller, polarity of the toner is reversed to original polarity, and then, returned to a photosensitive drum. The inner face of the electrode, i.e., a contact face of the electrode and the brush roller is formed in an inwardly-curved face. Thereby, a large contact area and light pushing force of the electrode to the brush roller can go together.

    • A helical scan type magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus comprises a rotary body which is wrapped with a magnetic tape on an outer peripheral surface thereof over a predetermined angular range and has a tape guide for guiding a part of the magnetic tape, and n pairs of rotary heads mounted on the rotary body. Each pair out of the n pairs of rotary heads is constituted by two rotary heads which are mounted at mutually opposite positions on a rotational plane of the rotary body at the same height position, and each pair out of the n pairs of rotary heads is mounted at different positions in an axial direction of the rotary body. The n pairs of rotary heads simultaneously record a luminance signal and two kinds of signals constituting a color video signal on n groups of tracks which are mutually separated in the tape width direction, so that the luminance signal is recorded on one group of tracks which is closest to the tape guide of the rotary body in order to minimize a jitter in the luminance signal which is reproduced.

The first discriminating signals are recorded on one of the adjacent recording tracks by the recording device, and the second discriminating signals are recorded on the other of the adjacent tracks by the recording device.

    • A color video signal recording system comprises a frequency modulator. A luminance signal is separated from an input color video signal. The amplitude of a color burst signal is intensified after it is separated from the input color video signal. The intensification is with respect to the amplitude of a carrier chrominance signal separated from the input color video signal. An automatic chroma control circuit receives the intensified color burst signal and the non-intensified carrier chrominance signal to effect level control. A specific level is not exceeded. A first frequency converter converts the frequency of the output signal of the automatic chroma control circuit. The converted signal is in a band which is lower than the band of said frequency-modulated luminance signal. The frequency-modulated luminance signal and the resulting output signal of said first frequency converter are mixed and multiplexed. A transducing head records the resulting mixed and multiplexed signal on a recording medium. A color video system reproduces a signal recorded by the above described recording system.The reproducing system comprises a transducing head for reproducing the signal recorded on the recording medium. A demodulator separates the frequency-modulated luminance signal in the reproduced signal. A second frequency converter converts the frequency of the color burst signal and carrier chrominance signal separated from the reproduced signal. The signal is returned into the original frequency band thereby suppressing the amplitude of the color burst signal from the second frequency converter, with respect to the amplitude of the carrier chrominance signal. A demodulating circuit mixes the luminance signal the color burst signal of suppressed amplitude, and the carrier chrominance signal, and derives the resulting signal thus mixed as a reproduced color video signal.
