    • An apparatus and method for forming an image by authenticating a caller based on the caller identification of the caller are provided. The method includes: receiving caller identification and registering the received caller identification; receiving a call from a communication terminal and determining whether the caller identification of the communication terminal matches the registered caller identification; and forming an image when the caller identification and the registered caller identification match. Accordingly, when the caller calls an image forming apparatus using the communication terminal, the requested image is printed after the caller is authenticated.
