The present invention may provide for computer communications where in response to a receipt of a communication at a first computing facility from a second computing facility, the first computing facility may be caused to send a request to a compliance center for security compliance information relating to the second computing facility. In response to the request for security compliance information, the first computing facility may receive compliance information related to the second computing facility, which may cause the first computing facility to perform an action regulating further communications from the second computing facility if the second computing facility security compliance information indicates that the second client computing facility is not compliant with a current security policy.

摘要： Apparatus for measuring the mass flow of a fluid comprises a first ionizing electrode which, in use, is located in the path of fluid flow and, when energized, ionizes said fluid. A second substantially cylindrical, hollow collector electrode extends around said first electrode so that, in use, the ions produced by the first electrode migrate to the second electrode. The second electrode includes a plurality of conductive rings which are spaced apart in the direction of fluid flow and insulating material is interposed between adjacent rings, but is arranged so as not to be exposed to the ions migrating to the rings in use. Means is responsive to the amount of ion migration to the various conductive rings for measuring the displacement of the ions by the fluid flowing past the electrodes, the displacement being dependent upon the mass flow of the fluid.

摘要： A radiation-sensitive switching circuit has a light emitting diode which supplies light to a photo-transistor, the light being interrupted from time to time. When the photo-transistor is illuminated, current builds up and when this current reaches a predetermined value, a trigger circuit changes state. The peak output of the photo-transistor is measured and the trigger circuit is arranged to change state when the output of the device is a set proportion of the peak output, so as to allow for aging of the components.

摘要： A radiation-sensitive switching circuit includes a light emitting diode which from time to time illuminates a photo-transistor, the photo-transistor serving when its output reaches a predetermined value to operate a trigger circuit. In order to allow for aging of the components, the current flow through the diode is increased when the output from the transistor falls below a known level. Conveniently, this is achieved by having a transistor in parallel with the diode, and turning the transistor off when the output from the photo-transistor becomes too low.

A pair of name and IP address may be stored on the DNS server. A client may then transmit the name to a DNS server to request the DNS server to lookup the IP address related to the client transmitted name. This client to DNS server communication may be performed as part of a network request from the client. The IP address may then be returned to the client in response to the connection request, which may allow the client to interpret the return of the security IP address as an indication of a known DNS server and therefore a known network. As a result, the client may then be able to set its security rules according to known network rules. Further, the identifying of a known network may be associated with location information associated with the DNS server, and thus the client, where the location information may be associated with multiple DNS IP address entries.

摘要： A tool having a working tip at the end of a shank is provided with a retractable and removable centering sleeve assembly. A hollow cylindrical sleeve which is slidably mounted on the shank is held in selected positions relative to the shank tip by the engagement of an ear upset from the shank with a cylindrical guide concentrically disposed within the sleeve. The sleeve is spring biased into an operative position by engaging the ear in a first groove in the guide and into a retracted position by positioning the ear at the one end of the guide. Engagement of the ear within a second groove in the guide permits complete removal of the sleeve from the shank.
