The optic portions include a polymer that comprises (a) one or more alkoxyalkyl methacrylate monomers and/or one or more alkoxyalkyl acrylate monomers that are incorporated in the polymer; (b) one or more hydroxyalkyl methacrylate monomers and/or one or more hydroxyalkyl acrylate monomers that are incorporated in the polymer; and (c) optionally, one or more crosslinking agents that are incorporated in the polymer.

摘要： A one piece intraocular lens and an intraocular lens include an optic portion and a haptic portion formed from a copolymer that includes an incorporated hydrophilic monomer and an incorporated alkoxyalkyl methacrylate monomer. The optic and haptic portions of the one-piece intraocular lens and intraocular lens are formed from the same copolymer. The copolymer of intraocular lenses and preferred one-piece intraocular lenses includes about 40 to about 95 percent by weight of the hydrophilic monomer based on the total weight of the dry copolymer and about 5 to about 60 percent by weight of the alkoxyalkyl methacrylate based on the total weight of the dry copolymer. A blank for use in constructing an intraocular lens includes a hydrogel in a shape suitable for finishing into an intraocular lens. The hydrogel of the blank comprises a first portion suitable for finishing into a haptic portion and a second portion suitable for finishing into an optic portion. The first and second portions of the blank are formed of the same or a different copolymer of a hydrophilic monomer and an alkoxyalkyl methacrylate monomer, and the amount of the hydrophilic monomer present in the copolymer of the first portion of the blank ranges from about 60 to about 80 percent by weight based on the total weight of the dry copolymer in the first portion. Copolymers of the blank and one-piece intraocular lenses have an equilibrium water content of from about 10 to about 38 percent by weight based on the total weight of the hydrated copolymer.

摘要： The specification describes a process for making a plating mask (17), for use in printed wiring board fabrication, with greater precision and definition than has previously been possible. An insulative substrate (11) includes on one surface a thin metal film (13). The film is covered with a relatively thick first mask layer (16) which is selectively removed to expose portions of the metal film, which are in turn removed to expose portions of the insulative substrate (11). The exposed portions of the insulative substrate are covered with a relatively thick plating mask layer (17) which abuts against the first mask layer (16). The first mask layer is then removed, leaving the remaining plating mask layer as a patterned plating mask which is then used as a mask for deposited metal (19) which defines a printed circuit.

摘要： Printed circuit boards having a plurality of circuit layers are produced on a copper-clad substrate by first forming a pattern in a desired configuration to produce the first layer of the printed circuit board, then covering it with an energy-sensitive material comprising a rubber modified epoxy resin, an acrylated epoxy resin and a viscosity modifier; the energy-sensitive material is delineated in a desired pattern and developed to uncover portions of the underlying metallization pattern and the entire substrate is then blanket cured to produce a rigid layer having openings in appropriate places; the openings are metallized and a second copper pattern is produced on the cured polymer by conventional metallization and lithographic techniques. If desired, the process is repeated until a suitable number of copper patterned levels are obtained.
