    • A light source device includes: a microwave power source which outputs a microwave; a light-emitting tube with an emission space where a light-emitting material, which emits light by input of the microwave, is filled; a first electrode which is provided at one side of the light-emitting tube and is electrically connected to the microwave power source; a second electrode which is provided at the other side of the light-emitting tube, the emission space being interposed between the first and second electrodes; and a reflecting plate which is electrically connected to the second electrode and which reflects the microwave such that an antinode of the amplitude of a standing wave of a high-frequency current is positioned in the emission space by making the microwave resonate.

    • A compound objective lens, an optical head device, an optical information device, and an information processing device that can inhibit the occurrence of aberration even when a light beam source wavelength shifts from the designed value. A diffraction structure having a sawtooth or stepwise cross section is formed in the region (R10) and region (R20). The height of the sawtooth or stepwise cross section formed in the region (R10) provides a light beam, which has a predetermined wavelength, with a difference in optical path length of N times the predetermined wavelength, as compared with a case of propagation in air. The height of the sawtooth or stepwise cross section formed in the region (R20) provides the light beam, which has the predetermined wavelength, with a difference in optical path length of J times the predetermined wavelength, as compared with a case of propagation in air. At least one of the difference in height between both ends of a boundary band (RB) provided between the region (R10) and the region (R20), and the width of the boundary band (RB) provides the light beam, which has the predetermined wavelength, with a difference in optical path length of (N+J)/2 times (N and J are mutually different natural numbers) the predetermined wavelength, as compared with a case of transmission in air.

    • Provided are an optical head capable of favorably recording or reproducing information to or from an information recording medium including a plurality of information recording surfaces, an optical disc device including the optical head, an information processing device including the optical disc, and an objective lens. The optical head (40) includes a blue-violet laser light source (1) which emits a blue-violet laser beam, an objective lens (8) which has an orbicular zone-shaped diffractive structure, and which diffracts the blue-violet laser beam and converges the generated diffracted light of n-th order (where n is a natural number) on a predetermined information recording surface of a multi-layer optical disc (60), and a light-receiving element (23) which receives the blue-violet laser beam reflected by the predetermined information recording surface, wherein the diffractive structure adds a positive power component and a spherical aberration component to the n-th order diffracted light.
