摘要： A printed matter delivery system, in which a printed matter delivery apparatus delivers printed matter having an image formed by an image forming apparatus is provided. The system includes a print management unit managing a print job performed by the image forming apparatus; a delivery management unit managing a delivery job performed by the printed matter delivery apparatus; a delivery authentication processing unit performing a matching confirmation process to determine whether authentication information of the delivery job matches authentication information of the print job; a print controlling unit causing the image forming apparatus to generate the printed matter based on the print job authenticated by the delivery authentication processing unit and to output the printed matter to the printed matter delivery apparatus; and a receipt confirmation unit obtaining receipt information input into the printed matter delivery apparatus at a delivery destination.

摘要： An optical writing device includes a light source, an optical deflector that deflects and scans light from the light source, a pre-deflector optical system that guides the light from the light source to the deflector, a post-deflector optical system that guides the scanned light to a target surface, a cover covering the deflector and including a first opening and a second opening provided at different positions, and a housing housing these optical elements. Light traveling from the light source to the deflector and the light scanned by the deflector are transmitted through the first opening but not through the second opening. During the rotation of the deflector, a forced inflow of air flowing from outside to inside the cover is generated in the first opening, and a discharged airflow flowing from inside to outside the cover is generated in the second opening.

摘要： An Inkjet printer includes a movable conveyance belt, a first charging device, and a second charging device. Upon the conveyance belt, a recording medium is placed and conveyed at a given conveyance speed in a longitudinal, conveyance direction of the belt. The first charging device is disposed in contact with the belt while supplied with a first alternating current voltage to create a first electrified portion in the conveyance belt where positive and negative electric charges are arranged alternately with each other in the conveyance direction for electrostatically attracting the recording medium to the belt. The second charging device is disposed adjacent the belt to contact the recording medium conveyed on the belt while supplied with a second alternating current voltage to create a second electrified portion in the recording medium for cancelling an electric field originating from the first electrified portion of the belt.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided with a light scanning device that directs laser beams emitted from a plurality of laser light sources on to a plurality of photoconductive members via focusing device which includes optical elements and a deflecting device that deflects the beams in a main scanning direction; an image forming device which forms visible images of different colors from images written onto the photoconductive members by the light scanning device; and an intermediate transfer member or a recording sheet transport member capable of carrying the visible images formed on the photoconductive members. When in detection mode, a control device controls the correction of color registration errors between each color forms patterns on an intermediate belt by an image forming device, detects the patterns by a color registration error detection sensor, and stores the color registration error correction values obtained from the detection output of the sensor in a memory device. When forming images, the control device reads the color registration error correction values stored in the memory device, and carries out correction in accordance with the correction values via a writing start position correction device which deflects the laser position in the sub scanning direction.

摘要： An image reading device capable of preventing, by increasing the quantity of light at the center or bound portion of a spread book document, the quantity of light from becoming short and preventing density from becoming irregular due to the deviation of a focus. At and around the center of a spread book document where the document is bound, the quantity of light for illumination or the amplification gain of image data read from the document is increased. A plurality of fluorescent lamps illuminate the surface of the document at the upstream side and downstream side with respect to an intended scanning direction. When the edge of the document is to be detected, only one of the lamps is turned on to enhance the stripe pattern representative of the stepped edge portion of the document.

摘要： In a book document reading device having a page turning capability, a turn belt has a flat portion at the underside thereof and is supported by a turn roller. The turn roller selectively moves the turn belt to a first position where the flat portion of the belt electrostatically attracts the uppermost leaf of a book document, which is spread on a table, in contact with the leaf, or to a second position where the belt is spaced apart from the book document while carrying the uppermost page therewith. When the turn belt is moved from the first position to the second position, a scanning unit is caused to stop moving. This allows the leaf of the document to surely adhere to the turn belt.

摘要： A multistage paper feeding/conveying apparatus has a plurality of recording paper storing devices vertically arranged at multiple stages; a paper feeder for feeding a sheet of recording paper one by one from arbitrary one of the recording paper storing devices; and a vertical conveyer vertically extending and opposed to a paper feeding side of each of the recording paper storing devices. The paper feeder has a single paper feeding unit which can selectively come in contact with a front end portion of an uppermost sheet of recording paper on an upper face thereof with respect to sheets of recording paper stored within the plural recording paper storing devices. The paper feeding unit and the vertical conveyer have a single endless conveying belt and a device for forming an electric charge pattern for adsorbing the sheet of recording paper to the endless belt. A method for feeding the recording paper is also shown.
