    • One of sequence groups each specifying reference signal sequences for respective radio resource bandwidths is assigned to a base station and a different one of the sequence groups is assigned to a neighboring cell. The base station includes a scheduler configured to allocate radio resources; a reporting unit configured to report the allocated radio resources and a cyclic shift amount to a mobile station; and a demodulating unit configured to demodulate a signal received from the mobile station based on one of the reference signal sequences corresponding to one of the radio resource bandwidths and the cyclic shift amount. Cell reuse is applied to the reference signal sequences to be transmitted using one resource unit, and sequence hopping where different ones of the reference signal sequences are assigned to consecutive subframes is applied to the reference signal sequences to be transmitted using a bandwidth greater than one resource unit.

    • A disclosed transmission apparatus includes a multiplexing portion that multiplexes a common pilot channel, a shared control channel, and a shared data channel; a symbol generation portion that performs an inverse Fourier transformation on the multiplexed signal so as to generate a symbol; and a transmission portion that transmits the generated symbol. The multiplexing portion multiplexes the shared control channel including control information necessary for demodulation of the shared data channel including a payload and the common pilot channel to be used by plural users in a frequency direction, and the shared data channel in a time direction with respect to the common pilot channel and the shared control channel. Even when the number of symbols composing a transmission time interval (TTI) is reduced, transmission efficiency of channels excluding the common pilot channel can be maintained by reducing insertion intervals of the common pilot channel accordingly.

    • The present technology relates to an A/D converter, a solid-state image pickup device and a method of driving the same, and an electronic apparatus which are capable of reducing power consumption while reducing a circuit size. A comparator compares a reference voltage with an input voltage, the reference voltage having a ramp waveform whose voltage value varies with time, a lower-bit storage element holds a count value in a predetermined count pattern, based on an output signal from the comparator, a Gray code binary conversion circuit converts the count value in the count pattern held by the lower-bit storage element into binary data, and a storing operation control circuit supplies a pulse signal corresponding to the binary data obtained by conversion in the Gray code binary conversion circuit to a lower-bit U/D CNT. The present technology is applicable to, for example, an image sensor storing a count value in a storage element with use of a Gray code or a phase shift code as a clock signal.
