    • An apparatus, method and system for reducing discontinuities between waveforms in a communication system. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a processor and memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured, with the processor, to determine an amplitude and set of derivatives at an end point of a first symbol waveform, and determine an amplitude and set of derivatives at a beginning point of a second symbol waveform. The memory and the computer program code are configured, with the processor, to insert a guard period waveform having an amplitude and set of derivatives at a first end to substantially match the amplitude and set of derivatives at the end point of the first symbol waveform and an amplitude and set of derivatives at a second end that substantially matches the amplitude and set of derivatives at the beginning point of the second symbol waveform.

    • A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product example embodiments of the invention are disclosed to reduce interference of predictive signal transmissions between wireless devices. In an example embodiment, a wireless receiver is configured to receive a composite signal, wherein the composite signal includes at least a beacon component comprising a regular beacon symbol. The wireless receiver is configured to determine from the beacon component, a predicted reception of a predicted future beacon symbol, using a known beacon transmission pattern. The wireless receiver is configured to cancel from the composite signal a future received beacon symbol, based at least partly on the predicted future beacon symbol.

    • A method, apparatus, and computer program is presented for use in a radio transmitter using a polar transmitter structure in which a transmission signal is separated into an amplitude component and a phase component. The transmission signal includes transmission symbols distributed to a number of transmission resource blocks allocated to the radio transmitter for transmission. The amplitude component of the transmission signal is low-pass filtered in a low-pass filter configured by filtering parameters selected according to the number of transmission resource blocks allocated to the radio transmitter. Then, the low-pass filtered amplitude component is used in power supply of a power amplifier configured to power-amplify a phase component of the transmission signal.
