The portable wireless terminal includes a first housing, a second housing rotatably coupled to the first housing in such a manner that the second housing moves away from the first housing or approaches the first housing according to a rotational movement thereof, a first hinge axis extending parallel to an upper surface of the first housing, and a second hinge axis extending perpendicular to the upper surface of the first housing and providing a rotational center for the first hinge axis. The method includes: pre-setting, by a user, a password and an identification image for identifying the password; moving a keypad window or an image window realized on a screen of the user terminal according to an action of the user; determining, when a plurality of images included in the image window and a plurality of keys included in the keypad window sequentially overlap with each other, whether a plurality of keys and the identification image corresponding to the password sequentially overlap; and authenticating the password when the plurality of keys and the identification image corresponding to the password sequentially overlap. Accordingly, password information may be protected from a third person observation as the user inputs a pre-set password in an indirect method without having to directly input the pre-set password through an authentication interface.

The slider mechanism includes a first plate and a second plate slidably combined with the first plate. The second plate has a cam profile formed along siding direction. A resilience unit is mounted on the first plate to exert resilient force perpendicularly to moving direction of the second plate. A roller is rotatably attached to an end of the resilience unit. The roller runs along the cam profile while the portable terminal opens or closes. Formed at a desired position of the cam profile is a depression on which the roller rests to hold the terminal in place at closed or opened state, or at any other desired position.
