摘要： The present disclosure describes a tampon article, a composite fibrous web, and a method of making same. Such an article includes an outer carrier component including an inner surface that defines an internal void. Including an absorbent component elongate along an axis and is disposed in the internal void. The absorbent component includes an outer surface that extends about the axis and faces the inner surface. The absorbent component further includes a composite fibrous web of staple cellulosic fibers and a meltspun web of filaments entangled with the web of staple cellulosic fibers. The composite fibrous web can be in a compressed configuration in the internal void such that at least portion of the outer surface of the absorbent component is defined by the meltspun web of filaments. The tampon can include a withdrawal cord coupled to the absorbent component.

The hydroentangled fabric has a compact thickness that extends in a direction from the first side of the hydroentangled woven fabric to the second side of the hydroentangled woven fabric. The compact thickness and bulky warp and weft yarns give rise to a compact and moisture wicking hydroentangled woven fabric.

摘要： A process is described wherein pile yarn is woven with cotton weft and warp yarns to produce terry fabrics, such as towels. The fabric is then washed in warm water to dissolve the PVA fibers. The amount of fibers dissolved, depends upon the count of the yarn or yarns used. By dissolving the PVA fibers, a hollow air space is produced throughout the pile yarn, corresponding to an increase in the air space in the pile yarn. By increasing the air space in the pile yarn, the resulting towels are softer and bulkier than standard cotton towels. The present invention further relates to pile yarn in terry woven fabric (warp yarn), or weft yarn, in the case of flat fabrics.

Each one of the plurality of weft yarns is a high bulk textured continuous filament yarn. The woven fabric defies a first side and a second side that is opposed to the first side. The plurality of weft yarns are interwoven with the plurality of warp yarns such that the weft yarns define a substantial majority of the face of the woven fabric, thereby exposing high bulk textured continuous filament yarns along a substantial majority of the face.

摘要： A method for compression packaging of a compressible product within a product packaging for commercial distribution and sale includes compressing a compressible product within the product packaging and zipping a gusset located in a sidewall of the product packaging to thereby maintain the compressible product in a compressed condition during commercial distribution and sale. The product packaging includes a base and peripheral sidewall that define an interior containment space in which the compressible product is received. A zipper is located along the peripheral sidewall and secures a gusset in the sidewall when zipped up with the product packaging in a compressed condition. Another zipper is used to secure a lid of the product packaging. The product may be decompressed without opening the product packaging by unzipping the second zipper.
