摘要： An airbag fabric is excellent in slippage amount and strength in a sewn portion. The airbag fabric is made of a synthetic fiber, the fabric having a constant (load of 98 N/30 mm) elongation of 1 to 5% and having a residual strain rate of 0.1 to 1.5%, the residual strain rate being obtained when the fabric is allowed to stand still for 10 minutes from the removal of the 98 N/30 mm load after the retention of the fabric for 10 minutes while the 98 N/30 mm load is applied to the fabric. The strength in the sewn portion is preferably 1200 N or more in each of the warp and the weft.

The first roller is rotated in a first direction and includes two ends, a length extending between the two ends, a raised area adapted to treat the web, and a bearer ring. The bearer ring extends around the circumference of the first roller and is disposed at a location between and spaced from the ends of the first roller. The second roller of the apparatus is rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The web is fed to the nip of the apparatus such that the web is contacted by the raised area on the first roller to treat the web.

摘要： A method and apparatus for providing a soft finish on a fabric such as a suede tone, raised loops, broken loops or fleeced and for providing a faded effect such as a washed or faded denim. A fillet having a plurality of wires extending therefrom is wound on a cylinder of a finishing machine. The outer ends of the wires extending from the fillet are angled at approximately 80.degree. from vertical. The wires are covered with an abrasive coating which is applied by an arc spray system. The coating extends around the perimeter of the wire from at least just below the bend of the wires and extending to the outer tip of the wires. The fabric is driven over a nip roll that is adjusted to bring the fabric in closer contact with the wires on the cylinder which is rotating. An alternative embodiment of accomplishing the same type of soft finish such as suede or washed or faded denim finish is accomplished with multi rolls (or kiss rolls) finish machinery using the coated wire fillet on each roll. The wires of fillets for napping machines are similarly covered with the abrasive coating for achieving a more efficient operation on a napper finishing machine.

The method may optionally include the step of un-necking the nonwoven web to about between 80 and 125 percent of its starting, unstretched width.
