    • A system for emergency crew return and down-mass orbit comprising a stowable, self-contained, deployable maneuvering reentry vehicle for automated, on-demand reentry to ground for cargo of 1-10 kilograms or up to single or multiple human use for evacuation of orbital facilities. The system includes a deployable “aeroshell” that is contiguous (a single geometric object—surface or hollow shape—that can morph in 3D shape), modular (a collection of modular components externally acting as a contiguous shape, but morphed in 3D via actuators contained in each modular member to create a general asymmetric geometry), or discontiguous (a collection of independently controlled surfaces or bodies that morph to form desirable asymmetric drag configurations). The system contains traditional spacecraft guidance, navigation and control, propulsion, and attitude control elements, in addition to communications, power, and actuator energetics systems for controlling the vehicle aeroshell shape during reentry, thus, minimizing the landing footprint of the vehicle.

    • A waterproof digital lap counter automatically counting and indicating the number of laps traversed by a swimmer having the lap counter attached to a hand or foot comprises a LCD array including a digital counter, driver and LCD embedded within a sealed inner housing which is slidably and nonrotatably supported in an outer housing. Counting and indication of laps traversed occurs automatically and is triggered by abutment of the lap counter against the side of the swimming pool during the swimming stroke or flip turn of the swimmer. Abutment of the lap counter against the side of the pool momentarily closes a switch which sends an input signal to the LCD array representative of a lap traversed. The LCD array counts and provides a visible indication of the number of input signals received which corresponds to the total number of laps traversed.

    • The present invention relates to a mouth piece for a breathing apparatus, a breathing apparatus and a method for adjusting a valve trigger mechanism arranged on a mouth piece for a breathing apparatus. The mouth piece according to the present invention comprises a housing comprising a mouth piece breathing part opening for inhaling and exhaling a breathable gas. An inlet port for providing breathable gas into said mouth piece housing, the inlet port being in communication with valve means arranged to open or close said inlet port. The housing further comprises a first exit port for exhausting gas from said housing into a closed circuit flow channel and a second exit port for exhausting gas from said mouth piece housing into an ambient environment. Switch means for selectively directing said exhaust gas between said first exit port and said second exit port to change the mouth piece between open circuit breathing and closed circuit breathing. The switch means is arranged to adjust the valve means so as to provide an automatic diluent valve function in closed circuit mode and an open circuit regulator in open circuit mode. The mouth piece according to the present invention is compact, light weight and provides for a mouth piece which is very simple to handle.

    • Disclosed is a system, method, and program for promoting the replacement of lower energy efficiency equipment with higher energy efficiency equipment, and more particularly less energy efficient lighting systems with more highly energy efficient lighting systems, is disclosed. High energy efficiency lighting fixtures are fitted with preferably removable and replaceable translucent acrylic diffuser overlays that are printed with advertising content from a third party advertiser. A program administrator arranges for such advertising content from one or more third party advertisers, and uses the advertising revenue generated from such third party advertiser to offset the costs incurred by an end user that is purchasing the high energy efficiency equipment that bears the third party advertiser's advertising content. By reducing the end user's up front expense, they are more inclined to undertake a retrofit program to replace their old, antiquated, and less energy efficient equipment with new, updated, and more energy efficient equipment.
