摘要： Image sensor device includes color pixel array without color filter array. Method of color separation is based on tapering of light selectively depending on wavelength into photodetectors inside pixel. Light is directed into light guide along semiconductor surface with color selective structures and photodetectors in each pixel used to collect each light color component separately. This approach and horizontal geometry of light guide have numerous advantages, for example for the CMOS fabrication process, and allow multiple ways for detail engineering of light color components separation and detection.

The method includes obtaining at least two sets of statistics data for respective image frames which include corresponding windows; initializing a motion counter; determining, for each window, a relative difference value for the particular window; comparing the relative difference value to a first threshold. If the relative difference value is greater than the first threshold, the method increments the motion counter; and determines if there is motion by comparing the value of the motion counter to a second threshold. The motion detection may further take into account the relative importance of certain areas of the image frame.

摘要： Surface generation and positional gain adjustment techniques for an imager are described. Embodiments of the techniques use zones having flexible boundaries which can be reconfigured depending upon the type of lens being used in a given application. Each pixel within each zone is multiplied by a correction factor dependent upon the particular zone while the pixel is being read out from the array. The correction factors comprise coefficients that are different for each color channel and in some instances different for each corner of each color channel.

摘要： A digital camera system synchronizes a flash to an array of image sensing elements. The array of image sensing elements senses an image focused on the array by a lens. The system includes an array controller that implements an electronic rolling shutter to capture the image as a frame. The electronic rolling shutter includes read and reset pointers that the array controller scans through the array to capture integrated photo charges on the image sensing elements to generate the frame. The number of lines between the reset and read pointers defines the integration time of the imager. The system also includes a flash controller that synchronizes the flash to a portion of the frame. When the flash is activated, the camera system reduces the integration time and synchronizes the flash to the scanning of a selected portion of the array.
