    • The invention relates to an assembly and a method for mounting a pump bearing in/on plastic coolant pump housings. The aim of the invention is to create an assembly that is easy to produce and mount as well as an inexpensive and simple method for arranging pump bearings in/on plastic coolant pump housings, the assembly and method making it possible to temper the plastic housing and use bearings featuring little clearance with all resulting advantages, such as an extended service life, less noise, stress relief on the shaft sealing ring or the rotating mechanical seal, and others. The assembly comprises a pump bearing (3) ring (2) that is fitted with at least one bearing groove (1) and is disposed in/on a bearing seat (4) of a plastic coolant pump housing (5) with an axial bearing collar (6), and several positioning webs (7) which are located on the bearing seat (4). The inventive assembly is characterized in that separate adhesive grooves (8) are placed between the positioning webs (7) and the bearing collar (6). The adhesive grooves (8) are provided with liquid-tight walls (9) in four of the axial directions, an opening in the direction of the pump bearing (3) ring (2), and slot-shaped adhesive pockets (10) in the area of the outer edge of the pump bearing (3). The inventive method is characterized in that an adhesive is spread onto the cylindrical surface and/or the bearing groove (1) of the bearing ring (2) and/or into/onto the bearing seat (4) encompassing positioning webs (7), whereupon the bearing ring (2) that is to be joined is pressed into/onto the bearing seat (4) formed by positioning webs (7) until the same rests on the bearing collar (3). The pump bearing (3) that is arranged in the plastic coolant pump housing (5) is then inductively heated to a temperature ranging from about 100° C. to 125° C. for two to ten seconds while the adhesive pockets (10) face upward.

    • A bearing arrangement for pump bearings mounted in plastic housings, in particular for coolant pumps, comprises a radial housing groove that is provided with an inlet bore, the groove being arranged in the coolant pump housing. A bearing groove located opposite the housing groove in the final mounted condition is provided on the bearing ring arranged in the bearing seat. This arrangement can be manufactured and mounted in a simple manner, permits tempering of the plastic housing, always ensures a high degree of efficiency of the pump with minimal manufacturing and installation expenditure, and permits the use of bearings as pump bearings with minor play of the bearing with a longer service life, low development of noise, and relief of the shaft sealing gasket, and many other benefits. The bearing arrangement always ensures high transmission of the axial forces from the pump bearing to the pump housing, combined with an optimal geometry of the sealing gap, and permits removal of the pump bearing without damaging the plastic housing, and, at the same time, reduces the recycling costs.

    • The invention relates to a blade wheel consisting of sheet metal for use in motor vehicle refrigerant pumps. The aim of the invention is to develop a novel blade wheel consisting of sheet metal for use in motor vehicle refrigerant pumps which, aside from a plurality of blades, also has a high blade height, thus ensuring a high throughput. Moreover, it also has smooth running properties without re-machining and, furthermore, also without re-machining, ensures an optimum sealing gap with respect to the housing. At the same time, it can always be produced simply and cost-effectively with an open construction (without an end plate) as well as with a closed construction (with an end plate). In addition, it is characterized by a high pumping efficiency. The inventive blade wheel (1) consisting of sheet metal for use in motor vehicle refrigerant pumps has blades (3) that are cut out of a disk and pitched and base disk segments (4) that lie adjacent to the blades (3) and remain between the latter (3). The blade wheel (1) is characterized, among other things, in that it is formed by at least two different blade wheel elements which are provided with cut out, pitched blades (3), are interconnected in a fixed manner and are arranged so that their respective base disk segments (4) are offset in relation to one another, forming a gap therebetween, the elements thus forming a common bottom disk (2).     • The invention relates to a controllable coolant pump for internal combustion engines which is driven by torque transmission elements. It is an object of the invention to develop a driven, controllable coolant pump of this type for internal combustion engines, which ensures further functioning of the coolant pump (failsafe) if the control means fails, is distinguished by a high degree of efficiency and a very compact, simple, robust design, and, even in the case of operating medium which is loaded with dirt, ensures high operational safety and reliability and makes active control of the coolant delivery amount possible, in order firstly to ensure optimum warming up of the engine by “zero leakage” and in order secondly, after warming up of the engine, to influence the engine temperature during continuous operation so exactly that both the emission of pollutants and the friction losses and fuel consumption can be reduced considerably over the entire operating range of the engine. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a controllable coolant pump having a pump housing (1), a driven shaft (2) which is mounted in the pump housing (1), an impeller wheel (3) which is arranged fixedly in terms of rotation on a free, flow-side end of the shaft (2), and a pressure-activated valve slide (4) having-an outer cylinder (5) which covers the outflow region of the impeller wheel (3) in a variable manner, which controllable coolant pump is characterized in that the valve slide (4) is of annular configuration and is arranged on a plurality of piston rods (6) which are mounted displaceably in the pump housing (1), wherein an annular piston (12) which is mounted in an annular groove (10) in the pump housing (1) and can be moved in a defined manner in the annular groove (10) by means of excess pressure or vacuum is arranged on the piston rods (6) in a manner lying opposite the valve slide(4).

    • A controllable motor vehicle coolant pump driven by an internal combustion engine via a belt pulley connected to a driving shaft. The pump does not require a shaft seal for sealing the flow chamber against the bearing casing of the driving belt pulley, and reduces fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission during the entire operating range of the engine. The pump comprises two opposing clutch halves mounted on two clutch shafts. The impeller of the coolant pump is driven by a permanently magnetic clutch. One clutch half is comprised of a multipole magnetic disc magnetized in sectors on one of the two clutch shafts. The other clutch half comprises a disk made of hysteresis material or a disk with a copper disc arranged therein mounted on the other clutch shaft. The width of the air gap between the two clutch halves is variable depending on the given operational condition of the engine.

    • The invention relates to a switchable coolant pump for combustion engines which is driven by a pulley, wherein the impeller can be driven switchably by the pulley by way of a friction pairing.
