    • An installation for image-assisted shockwave therapy has a C-arm x-ray unit that is orbitally movable around an isocenter, and that carries an x-ray imaging system thereon. The installation also has a shockwave head and a carrier device for the shockwave head that is disposed stationarily relative to the x-ray C-arm. A boom that extends toward the x-ray C-arm is carried by the carrier device, the boom having a free end at which the shockwave head is mounted. The boom is movably guided by the carrier device so that the shockwave head is arbitrarily movable to any position and can be arbitrarily aligned to the isocenter within a minimum range of 180° delimited by the top table position and the bottom table position of a patient table.

    • A movement system for a C-arm. The movement system comprises at least one first guide element arranged in a plane, a movement device arranged to allow movement along the first guide element as well as a first motion link rotatable around a first axis of rotation standing at right angles to the plane. The movement device is connected rotatably to the first motion link to a second axis of rotation standing at right angles to the plane such that a movement of the movement device along the first guide element causes the second axis of rotation to be moved on a circular track around the first axis of rotation. The advantage of this is that the arm is prevented from jamming as a result of leverages during movement of a C-arm.

    • A displacement system for a C-arm arranged on a trolley is provided. The displacement system includes at least a first and at least a second guiding element arranged in a plane or parallel thereto. The first and second guiding element are arranged at right angles to one another and a displacement device arranged in a displaceable fashion along the first and second guiding element, with the displacement device being coupled to the guiding elements such that by rotating the displacement device about a drive axis, the displacement device is moved along the first and second guiding element. As a result, the displacement system prevents jamming as a result of leverage forces during displacement of the C-arm.

    • The present embodiments relate to a displacement apparatus for a C-arm arranged on a trolley. The displacement apparatus includes at least a first and at least a second guide element arranged in a plane, whereby the first and second guide elements are arranged at right angles to one another, a first displacement device which can be moved along the first guide element, and a second displacement device, which can be moved along the second guide element. A linking device connects the first and second displacement device in such a way that any movement of the first displacement device will result in the second displacement device being moved along the second guide element. This avoids the possibility of any jamming which may arise as a consequence of the leverage forces generated when a C-arm is moved.
