    • A two-stroke engine has a cylinder with a combustion chamber and a piston reciprocatingly supported in the cylinder. A crankshaft is rotatably supported in a crankcase and driven by the piston. At least one transfer passage connects the crankcase in at least one position of the piston with the combustion chamber and has a piston-controlled transfer port that opens into the combustion chamber and an opening that opens into the crankcase. A mixture inlet opens into the crankcase. An outlet is provided at the combustion chamber. The transfer port and the opening are displaced relative to each other in a circumferential direction of the cylinder. At least one wall section of the transfer passage forms an undercut when viewed from the crankcase in a direction of a longitudinal cylinder axis of the cylinder and is delimited by a separate component inserted into the cylinder from a side facing the crankcase.

    • An actuating device for a decompression valve of an internal combustion engine with a cable starter, wherein the decompression valve is positioned within the cylinder of the internal combustion engine and comprises a valve member biased into its closed position, has a transmission lever having a longitudinal extension and being rotatable about its longitudinal axis. The transmission lever has a first and a second end. A cable drum for receiving the starter cable of the cable starter is provided. The cable drum has an axis of rotation about which the cable drum is rotated when the starter cable is pulled. The longitudinal axis of the transmission lever is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the cable drum and spaced from the rotational plane of the cable drum. The cable drum entrains the first end of the transmission lever in the direction of rotation and thereby rotates the transmission lever about its longitudinal axis such that the second end of the transmission lever performs an adjusting movement for moving the decompression valve from the closed position into the open position.

    • A protective shield (2) is provided for a free-cutting tool (1). The free-cutting tool has a cutterhead (4) rotatable about a rotational axis (3) and carries a cutting filament (5). For a rotating cutterhead (4), the cutting filament (5) rotates in a rotational direction (10), aligns itself approximately radially to the rotational axis (3) and defines a cutting circle (6) having a constructively pregiven nominal radius (R).     • An elastic connecting piece (1) is mounted between a carburetor (4) and an inlet channel (3) of an internal combustion engine (2). The annular gap (28) of the expansion fold (5) can be bridged by a seal lip (8). The connecting piece (1) includes a peripherally extending seal seat (9) of axial length (g) in the region of the expansion fold (5). The seal lip (8) can be placed in seal-tight contact with the seal seat (9) and substantially closes the expansion fold (5) fluid tight to the interior space of the connecting piece (1).
