    • An image forming apparatus feeds a paper picked up by a pickup roller directly to a photoconductive drum and controls a linear velocity of the pickup roller so that it is slower than that of the photoconductive drum. The different linear velocities of the pickup roller and the photoconductive drum produces different velocities at the transfer nip (the area of contact between the photoconductive drum and a transferring roller) and the point where paper is picked up by the pickup roller. To compensate for the different velocities, the pickup roller can be rotated faster than the photoconductive drum for an angle that corresponds to the velocity difference. Additionally, when a velocity difference occurs between two rollers for feeding the paper, one of the rollers can be further rotated to compensate for the velocity difference.

    • A ferroelectric memory device includes a semiconductor substrate, ferroelectric capacitors, conductive patterns, and plate lines. The ferroelectric capacitors are arranged in rows and columns on the semiconductor substrate. The conductive patterns are arranged in even numbered and odd numbered rows. Each of the conductive patterns is on, and electrically connected to, a plurality of adjacent ones of the ferroelectric capacitors. The plate lines are in rows that extend along even numbered and odd numbered columns. The plate lines in the even numbered columns are electrically connected to at least two of the conductive patterns in the even numbered rows and are electrically isolated from the conductive patterns in the odd numbered rows. The plate lines in the odd numbered columns are electrically connected to at least two of the conductive patterns in the odd numbered rows and are electrically isolated from the conductive patterns in the even numbered rows.

    • A power transmission apparatus and an image forming apparatus are provided. The power transmission apparatus of transmitting driving power to first and second movable members includes a driving unit which receives the driving power from a driving power source, and which rotates in forward and backward directions, a first driven unit which transmits the driving power to the first movable member, an elastic clutch which is provided between the driving unit and the first driven unit to selectively allow the driving power from the driving unit to be conveyed to the first driven unit based on the direction of the driving power, and a second driven unit to convey the driving power to the second movable member regardless of the direction of the driving power so as to allow the second movable member to rotate bi-directionally. The first movable member may be, e.g., a photosensitive body. The second movable member may be, e.g., exit rollers for ejecting processed printing medium out of the image forming apparatus.
