摘要： The present invention discloses asymmetrical bleach activators for use in both solid and liquid additive, bleaching and detergent compositions. The asymmetrical bleach activators display the unique ability to form both hydrophilic and hydrophobic bleaching agents in aqueous liquors such as bleaching solutions. Thus, fabrics, hard surfaces or dishes having hydrophobic stains such as dingy and or hydrophilic stains such as beverages can be effectively cleaned or bleached using the bleach activators of the present invention.

摘要： Bleaching compositions, laundry and automatic dishwashing detergent compositions comprising particular quaternary-substituted bleach activators, are provided. More specifically, the invention relates to compositions which provide enhanced cleaning/bleaching benefits though the selection of quaternary-substituted bleach activators having specific leaving groups with a conjugate acid pKa above 13 and with specific ratios of the rate of perhydrolysis to the rate of hydrolysis and the rate of perhydrolysis to the rate of diacylperoxide production. Included are preferred activator compounds and methods for washing fabrics, hard surfaces, and tableware using the activators.

摘要： Bleach-additives and bleaching compositions comprising glycine anhydride activators are provided. The activators have the general formulas of: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 can be the same or different and are a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.9 alkyl or aryl residue; or ##STR2## where n is 0 to 50, R.sub.3 is a linear or branched alkyl, aryl, or alkaryl or arylalk with C.sub.1 -C.sub.25, --H, --OH, --OR.sub.5, --COOM, or SO.sub.3 M, where M is H or alkali metal or alkaline earth metal; R.sub.4 is a linear or branched alkylene, arylene, or alkylarylene or arylalkylene with C.sub.1 -C.sub.25 ; and, R.sub.5 is a linear or branched alkyl, aryl, or alkaryl or arylalk with C.sub.1 -C.sub.25. The compositions display low soil resistivity and are formulated to provide in-use pH values of from 7 to about 9.5. Additional ingredients may include detersive surfactants, emulsifiers, chelants, and nonsoap pH reducing ingredients. Both granular and liquid compositions are provided.

摘要： This invention relates to novel whitening agents for cellulosic substrates. The whitening agents are comprised of at least two components: at least one chromophore component and at least one polymeric component. Suitable chromophore components generally fluoresce blue, red, violet, or purple color when exposed to ultraviolet light, or they may absorb light to reflect these same shades. The whitening agents are further characterized by having a dispersion component value of the Hansen Solubility Parameter of less than or equal to about 17 MPa0.5. This invention also relates to laundry care compositions including but not limited to liquid and/or powder laundry detergent formulations and rinse added fabric softening (RAFS) compositions that comprise such whitening agents.
