The device can include a vent. The device can include a clip, a tether, and a latch. A non-therapeutic method of protecting a catheter interface can include extending a catheter in the subject through a slot in a catheter interface protection device, wrapping the catheter at least partially around a clip of the catheter interface protection device, and securing a latch of the catheter interface protection device around the clip. A device for positioning a subject in a prone position can include a padded area including an opening configured to accommodate a catheter interface protection device.

摘要： The present invention pertains to a flexible universal catheter securement device for use with, e.g. Foley catheters and other catheters. The flexible universal catheter securement device preferably comprises a cover attached to a base at a longitudinal articulation point. The cover has a top cover surface and a bottom cover surface and the bottom cover surface has an adhesive foam padding. The base has a top base surface and a bottom base surface and the top base surface has an adhesive foam padding. The articulation point is foldable such that the cover can be placed on the base. The base and the cover preferably have a centerline and the articulation point is offset there from. The base further comprises a catheter placement axis and the longitudinal articulation point is located parallel to the catheter placement axis. The cover preferably has less surface area than the base.

The main housing unit and inserted catheter includes an engagement arrangement so that once the uninserted section of the tubing of the inserted catheter has passed through the slot there is a fixed vertical support of the catheter within the main housing unit so that the uninserted section of tubing of the inserted catheter remains substantially upright and/or substantially free of kinks or bends.

摘要： A device for sealing and securing a catheter at its insertion site in order to provide for optimum safe catheter function, and to achieve maximum catheter longevity/dwell time is described. The sterile seal achieved by this device fully protects the catheter and its insertion site from external contamination. The unique sterile seal also functions to fully stabilize and secure the catheter, thereby minimizing traumatic catheter injury and loss. A means of continuously viewing the insertion site is also provided, as well as mechanisms for maintaining sterility of the sterile chamber that is formed around the catheter insertion site by the integrated sealing and securing device. Together these features allow for improved catheter safety and function, and allow catheters to safely remain in place for an extended period of time. The need to change catheter dressings at intervals is minimized or eliminated.

In one embodiment the vehicle frame component is located forward of the wheel and includes a tire puncture device to deflate the tire during an offset front impact and in a second embodiment the vehicle frame component is located rearward of the wheel. The vehicle frame component has particular utility during an offset front impact where the offset is less than approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of the width of the vehicle.

摘要： A catheter stabilization device includes a medical connector and a docking pod. The medical connector is configured to connect to a medical implement. The docking pod has an internal fluid path, a first opening, and an inlet opening. The first opening may be placed in fluid communication with a catheter. A docking pod adhesive layer that is located at least partially beneath at least a portion of the docking pod secures the docking pod to a patient. The device also includes an adherent substrate with a first film layer and at least a second film layer. The first and second film layers at least partially define a fluid pathway that extends through the adherent substrate and fluidly connects the medical connector and the inlet opening of the docking pod.

The opening (11) is defined in the protecting and fixing layer and configured to extend between an upper plane and a lower plane of the protecting and fixing layer along a longitudinal direction, and to surround a wound therein so that the protecting and fixing layer (1) with the opening limits an increase of tension at the wound and a movement-incurred wrinkle of skin at the wound. The protecting and fixing layer (1) with the opening includes a flexible protecting and fixing layer (1a) with an opening and a rigid protecting and fixing layer (1b) with an opening. The device can prevent the wound from being ripped and ruptured, and prevent damages caused by movement-incurred wrinkles of the skin at the wound and relative displacement frictions.
