摘要： A catheter assembly includes a catheter, a catheter hub fixed to the proximal end portion of the catheter, a hollow inner needle removably located in the catheter and including a distal end portion at which is located a needlepoint to puncture skin of a patient, and a guide wire slidably positioned in the inner needle. The guide wire is longer than both the inner needle and the catheter. A wire operating member is connected to the guide wire and is displaceable in the forward direction relative to the inner needle and the catheter. A main body is detachably connected to the catheter hub and includes a finger-engaging projection at a distal portion of the main body that is engageable by a user's finger to advance the main body and the catheter in the forward direction. The wire operating member is superimposed on the main body.

摘要： A first disclosed connector part (110) for establishing a fluid connection with a second connector part comprises a valve (111) with a valve seat (112), the valve seat comprising a valve chamber (116), and a circular opening with a circumferential sealing lip (114); a valve member (113), the valve member being provided in the valve chamber, and being able to sealingly close the circular opening of the valve seat when being pushed against the circular opening; and a resilient element (115) that subjects the valve member to a bias force pushing the valve member against the circular opening of the valve seat. The valve member further comprises a circumferential wall around the circular opening, located on the side of the circular opening opposite to the valve chamber. The circumferential wall forms a concave receptacle (18) for receiving a corresponding connection cone of a second connector part, the concave receptacle having the shape of a truncated cone and facing away from the valve chamber, the circular opening being located in the centre of the concave receptacle. A second disclosed second connector part (150) for establishing a fluid connection with the first connector part comprises a right circular truncated cone (151) for being received in a corresponding concave receptacle of a first connector part; a recess (153) at the tip of the truncated cone for actuating a valve member of a first connector part; and a fluid feed conduit (152). The fluid feed conduit has one or more outlets (154) opening at least partially toward the shell surface of the cone (151).

摘要： Disclosed is septum arrangement having a pierceable septum. The pierceable septum has first and second surfaces positioned opposite to one another and a peripheral surface. A compression element has at least two compression members that partially or fully surround the peripheral surface and has at least two gripping members. Each compression member is connected to at least one gripping member, and the gripping members extend from the compression members towards a common axis (A) which intersects the first surface. A resilient element exerts a biasing force on the pierceable septum that is directed towards the common axis (A). The gripping members define an aperture between them such that introduction of a needle into the aperture exerts a force on the gripping members that counteracts the biasing force and moves the gripping members apart from each other.

The tubing has a length L and a circular cross-section shape taken perpendicular to the length dimension. The tubing has an inside radius r and an outside radius R, wherein L/R≥34.8, and wherein R/r≥1.5. The tubing may be made of a polyether block amide (PEBA) or other thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The tubing may be received in a channel of a hollow needle, wherein the needle is slideable in the axial dimension relative to the tubing, to selectively slide off of at least a portion of the tubing.

The catheter operating member is configured to press a portion of the catheter between the proximal end of the catheter and the distal end of the catheter when the user presses on the catheter operating member while puncturing a living body with the needlepoint.

摘要： A system for delivering fluid to a user transcutaneously includes a subcutaneous infusion cannula base assembly, a cannula inserter assembly and a fluid connection assembly. The subcutaneous infusion cannula base assembly is configured to be located on the user's skin. The cannula inserter assembly is coupled to the cannula base assembly and is configured to drive an infusion cannula through the user's skin in a nominally helical trajectory. The fluid connection assembly is configured to fluidically connect the cannula base assembly to a source of delivery fluid. Cannula and stylet assemblies configured for helical or non-helical insertion are also disclosed.

摘要： An anesthetic administration device comprising an infusion device, which is in fluid connection with a regional anesthetic needle by means of a feed tube. The infusion device comprises one or more anesthetic flow devices capable of triggering forward flow, and optionally backward flow, of the local anesthetic through the regional anesthetic needle. Forward, and optionally backward flow, of the local anesthetic through the regional anesthetic needle is controlled by a controller that comprises one or more actuator switches. The one or more actuator switches are positioned on the device such that they may be operated by hand.
