摘要： A tissue expander is disclosed herein. The tissue expander may comprise a shell defining a chamber, and having a flexible wall and a port disposed through the flexible wall. The shell may also include a channel disposed through the flexible wall. A first syringe containing a first volume of a liquid may be connected to the chamber of the tissue expander via the channel. A second syringe containing a second volume of the liquid may be connected to the chamber via the port at least approximately one week after the first volume of liquid is injected. The first volume of liquid may be injected more quickly than the second volume of liquid.

摘要： Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for the formation of an arteriovenous fistula in the limb of the patient. Embodiments include an apparatus for the creation, modification and maintenance of a fistula, including the modification of an existing dialysis fistula; and a method of supplying oxygenated blood to the venous circulation of a patient. A kit of anastomotic implants is described which supports a broad base of patient anatomies and fistula locations. The devices, systems and methods can be used to treat patients with one or more numerous ailments including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, hypotension, respiratory failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, lung fibrosis and adult respiratory distress syndrome.

摘要： Methods and apparatus provide a therapeutic fluid to devices implanted in the body, for example to containers of devices implanted in the eye of a patient. The methods and apparatus may comprise an injector to increase an amount of therapeutic agent injected into the device implanted in the eye, or a structure to receive the therapeutic fluid within the device implanted in the eye, or combinations thereof. The device implanted in the eye may comprise a reservoir chamber having a fluid with a density different than the therapeutic fluid, and the apparatus can be adapted to at least partially separate the implanted device fluid from therapeutic fluid within the reservoir chamber to increase and amount of therapeutic fluid placed in the reservoir chamber.

摘要： Irrigation devices, methods, and systems are disclosed. The system comprises a catheter with one or more lumens and an expandable portion. One or more pumps are used to supply a mixture of contrasting and dilating agents in an interior kidney volume and flush a portion of the mixture out of the interior kidney volume. The method comprises placing a catheter into the interior kidney volume through a ureter, occluding a portion of the ureter with a distal end of the catheter, forming an exit port through an exterior kidney surface, flowing the contrasting and dilating agents through the one or more lumens to supply the mixture in the interior kidney volume, and flushing a portion of the mixture out of the exit port.

摘要： A venous access implantable port allows a doctor or medical practitioner to use the same injection or extraction site for multiple procedures. The venous access implantable port includes a port body, a venous access orifice, a fluid reservoir, at least one fluid transport tube, and a catheter. The port body is transdermally positioned at the procedural location. The venous access orifice traverses into the port body in order to allow a needle to be inserted through the venous access orifice to extract or inject fluid into the fluid reservoir integrated into the port body. The fluid reservoir is in fluid communication with a patient's circulatory system through the catheter and the at least one fluid transport tube traversing into the port body, in order to allow the extraction or injection of fluids into the circulatory system.

When not utilized, the feeding tube is stored within the cavity.

摘要： A method for reducing small volume subcutaneous leaks of therapeutic fluids during procedures to refill an implantable medical device includes reducing pressure in a reservoir of the device. A refill needle can be percutaneously inserted into a fill port in communication with the reservoir and therapeutic fluid can be delivered through the needle into the reservoir. Reduced reservoir pressure upon withdrawal of the refill needle from the port can result in reduced subcutaneous leakage of the therapeutic fluid.
