When vibration data are simultaneously input from a plurality of programs during execution of the plurality of programs, the game apparatus drives a vibration motor incorporated in the game apparatus by preferentially using the vibration data from the program that is granted with a vibration control right. The vibration control right is authority of performing vibration control preferentially, and is basically granted to a program corresponding to an image being displayed forefront; however, when a plurality of images are displayed, the vibration control right is granted to a program having authority of acquiring an input from an input device (controller).

Touch inputs are used to control the rotational orientation of displayed steering wheel. The rotational orientation of the displayed steering wheel is used to apply course correction effects to a simulated vehicle. The console in question, may be, but is not limited to, any computer based system that generates computer graphics through which a user interacts. The invention, shall communicate with the computerized system in question using any form of communication, which includes but is not limited to a universal serial bus (USB), Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C), local area network (LAN), wireless local area network (WLAN), Bluetooth, etc. The invention shall house the ability to generate computer graphics through the use of, but not limited to, an on board liquid crystal display (LCD) of any type or derivation, a projector or a hologram. The on board graphics shall be used to allow the user to select from a list of varying communication protocols/USB drivers, thus enabling the user to interface with the desired gaming platform. The on board graphics shall allow the user to enable or disable various features, including but not limited to; accelerometers, gyroscopes, infra-red cameras, haptics, potentiometers, or any other sensor. The on board graphics shall also allow the user to bind any button/joystick command to any other button/joystick command.

摘要： Stereoscopic viewing systems may be adjusted for a user's inter-pupillary distance (IPD). Software-generated calibration images may be presented on a display having two optics. One or more settings for presentation of the calibration image are adjusted. The settings are related to an inter-pupillary distance (IPD) of the user. An input is received from a user when the user perceives the calibration image to be acceptable at a particular value of the one or more settings. An IPD value that corresponds to the particular value of the one or more settings is then determined. The determined IPD value is used in presenting subsequent software-generated images with the stereoscopic display.
