摘要： A reactor vessel is provided having a solids feed opening for particulate graphite and a product outlet for purified particulate graphite. The vessel has an interior volume for containing the graphite particles, with a plurality of gas feed openings at the bottom of the interior volume, near the centre-line, for feeding of chlorine-containing gas, wherein the chlorine-containing gas passes through the particulate graphite, fluidizing the particulate graphite. Electrodes are provided which function to heat the particulate graphite, as it is carried upwards under the fluidizing effect of the centrally injected chlorine-containing gas. When the heated graphite particles react with the chlorine gas, purified particulate graphite is formed and may be extracted through the product outlet.

摘要： A process for large scale and energy efficient product on of oxygenates from sugar is disclosed in which a sugar feedstock is introduced into a thermolytic fragmentation reactor comprising a fluidized stream of heat carrying particles. The heat carrying particles may be separated from the fluidized stream prior to cooling the fragmentation product and may be directed to a reheater to reheat the particles and recirculate the heated particles to the fragmentation reactor.

摘要： The present invention relates to a gas distribution unit for a fluidized bed reactor system, a fluidized bed reactor system having the gas distribution unit, and a method for preparing granular polysilicon using the fluidized bed reactor system. The gas distribution unit for a fluidized bed reactor system according to the present invention enables gas flow rate control and gas composition control for each zone within the plenum chamber. In addition, a fluidized bed reactor system having the gas distribution unit enables shape control of a fluidized bed (in particular, transition between a bubbling fluidized bed and a spout fluidized bed). The method for preparing granular polysilicon using the fluidized bed reactor system not only simultaneously improves process stability and productivity, but also enables more flexible handling in the event of an abnormal situation.

摘要： The invention relates to a nozzle bottom device and to a method for operating the latter. The nozzle bottom arrangement has a nozzle group with first nozzles and a further nozzle group with second nozzles. The two nozzle groups can be supplied independently of each other with a fluidizing medium. The respective volumetric flow can be switched on and off or can be adjusted variably. The first nozzles and the second nozzles are uniformly distributed over the entire surface of the nozzle bottom arrangement. As a result, a homogeneous fluidized bed is produced in the fluidized bed dryer irrespective of whether only one of the nozzle groups or all of the nozzles is or are operated.

摘要： Embodiments of a series-coupled fluidized bed reactor unit are provided. In one embodiment, the reactor unit includes primary and secondary reactors. The primary reactor includes a reaction vessel, a gas distributor fluidly coupled to the reaction vessel, and a cyclonic plenum assembly. The cyclonic plenum assembly includes a plenum assembly housing, which is fluidly coupled to the gas distributor and which has an annular sidewall; and a gas/solids inlet pipe, which fluidly couples a partially-reacted gas outlet of the secondary reactor to the plenum assembly housing. The gas/solids inlet pipe is tangentially positioned with respect to the annular sidewall of the plenum assembly housing to induce vortex flow within the plenum assembly housing of the partially-reacted gas received from the secondary fluidized bed reactor through the gas/solids inlet pipe to promote the cyclonic separation of entrained solids from the partially-reacted gas prior to entry into the gas distributor.
