摘要： A storage stable polyester polyol mixture is prepared by digesting polyalkylene terephthalate, particularly polyethylene terephthalate, with a digesting medium comprising a polycarboxylic acid component-containing polyol, wherein the polycarboxylic acid component has ring units with two ##STR1## groups on adjacent or alternate ring positions, the ring unit content of the polycarboxylic acid component being sufficient for improved storage stability of the digestion product. The polyester polyol mixture is useful in the preparation of cellular foam materials, particularly polyisocyanurate and polyurethane foams.

摘要： Pebble or granular based elastomeric surfacing materials that include an aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane based pebble or granule bonded together with a two-part aliphatic polyurethane binder are provided. In one embodiment, an A side of the two-part binder has at least one polyol, and a B side of the two-part binder has multiple isocyanates. The multiple isocyanates can include for example hydrogenated methylene diphenyldisocyanate and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The A side and the B side of the binder are utilized to bond the pebbles together to form a surface that can be either porous or non-porous. In another embodiment, an A side of a two-part binder includes multiple polyols. The multiple polyols can include for example esterified ricinoleic acid polyols and caprolactone polyols. The A side of the two-part binder can be combined with a B side of the two-part binder and pebbles to form a non-porous surface. In yet another embodiment, a pebble-based surface is utilized as a wear layer in a multi-layer safety surface.

The foamed plastic is superior in sound absorbing property and has a strength. In the case of non-through-holes, the foamed plastic can beep a sound absorbing effect as well as a sound intercepting effect, and for example, when used as a cushioning material of collision to be used as the lower portion of a dash panel of a motorear, not only the cushioning of collision but also the absorption of noises from an engine can be achieved. On the other hand, a foamed plastic obtained by pre-foaming foamable beads and again foaming the pre-foamed beads is a foamed plastic having gas permeability, which is different from usual foamed plastics. In this case, when an air current resistance value is set within a specified range, an audible sound of a human being can be most effectively absorbed. Thus, the latter foamed plastic can also be used as a cushioning material of collision and the like similar to the former foamed plastic.
