摘要： A lithographic printing plate precursor includes, in the following order: a support; an image-recording layer which is capable of forming an image by removing an unexposed area by an automatic development processor in the presence of a developer having pH of from 2 to 14 after exposure and contains (A) a sensitizing dye, (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a polymer which is insoluble in water and alkali-soluble; and a protective layer, and the protective layer contains (E) a hydrophilic polymer which has a repeating unit represented by the formula (1) as defined herein and a repeating unit represented by the formula (2) as defined herein and a sum of the repeating unit represented by the formula (1) and the repeating unit represented by the formula (2) is at least 95% by mole based on total repeating units constituting the polymer.

摘要： A positive-working multi-layer lithographic printing plate precursor has an inner imageable layer disposed over a substrate. This inner imageable layer comprises one or more first polymeric binders that are present in a total amount of at least 50 weight % and up to and including 97 weight %, based on total inner imageable layer dry weight. The precursor also has an ink-receptive outer imageable layer disposed over the inner imageable layer and this ink-receptive outer imageable layer comprises one or more second polymeric binders that are different than the first polymeric binder. Each of the one or more first polymeric binders has a weight average molecular weight of at least 200,000 and can also have a polydispersity of at least 4.

摘要： A processing method of a lithographic printing plate precursor includes: exposing imagewise a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support on a surface of which at least one of: a hydrophilizing treatment; and an undercoat layer has been provided and an image-recording layer, to cure an exposed area of the image-recording layer; and undergoing developing processing with an aqueous solution having pH of from 2 to 10, wherein the aqueous solution comprises an amphoteric surfactant and an anionic surfactant selected from an anionic surfactant having an aliphatic chain and a total number of carbon atoms included in the aliphatic chain of 6 or more and an anionic surfactant having an aromatic ring and a total number of carbon atoms of 12 or more, and a content of the anionic surfactant is from 0.1 to 3.3% by weight of the aqueous solution.

摘要： Negative lithographic printing plate having on a substrate a photosensitive layer comprising an alkaline soluble polymeric binder, an alkaline insoluble polymeric binder, a polymerizable monomer, and an initiator is described. The photosensitive layer is imagewise exposed with a radiation to cause hardening in the exposed areas, and then developed to remove the non-hardened areas. The combination of both alkaline soluble polymeric binder and alkaline insoluble polymeric binder in a photosensitive layer can give excellent combined durability, developability, and coatability.

摘要： A method for producing a lithographic printing plate is provided, wherein, in the non-alkaline development of a lithographic printing plate precursor having a protective layer, even if the protective layer components are mingled into the developer, the reduction in development removability of the image recording layer and the generation of development scum can be inhibited; an on-press development type lithographic printing plate precursor with excellent inking property, high scratch resistance, satisfied on-press developability and good fine line reproducibility is provided; and a lithographic printing method is provided, each of which is a method for producing a lithographic printing plate, comprising: imagewise exposing a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support, an image recording layer and a protective layer, and rubbing the plate surface by a rubbing member of an automatic processor in the presence of a developer at a pH of 2 to 10 to remove the protective layer and the image recording layer in the unexposed area; a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support, an image recording layer removable with a printing ink and/or a fountain solution, and a protective layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol having a carboxyl group and/or a sulfonic acid group within the molecule; and a lithographic printing method comprising on-press development.
