摘要： The present invention is a side airbag device stowed in a seatback of a vehicle seat, comprising: an inflator arranged on the occupant side of a side frame which is positioned on a side part inside the seatback, that generates expansion gas, and an airbag which expands due to said expansion gas and protects the occupant seated in the vehicle seat. The airbag includes a main chamber that deploys toward the front of the seatback, and a pre-chamber that houses the inflator inside and is connected to the occupant side of the main chamber. Furthermore, an integral joint without gaps is formed by sewing between at least the front edge part of the pre-chamber and the main chamber.

摘要： An apparatus for helping to protect occupants of a vehicle in the event of a collision includes a deployable restraint having a stored, predeployment condition in a vehicle floor. The restraint is deployable from the floor to restrain the feet and/or lower legs of an occupant from swinging forward and upward in response to a vehicle collision. In one configuration, the deployable restraint can include a module comprising an airbag and an inflator for inflating and deploying the airbag. The module can include a door that opens in response to deployment of the airbag and that serves as a reaction surface for the airbag. In another configuration, the deployable restraint can include a restraining panel configured to move to a deployed position extending above the vehicle floor adjacent the occupants lower leg and feet.

摘要： The present invention relates to a vehicular airbag device provided with a configuration comprising: an airbag cushion which is formed in a shawl shape so as to surround and restrict the entire upper body around both shoulders of an occupant as well as the abdominal and pelvic regions in the event of a vehicle collision, and deployed toward both side surfaces of the occupant; and a limiting means which is installed in first and second cushions of the airbag cushion deployed at both sides of the occupant, and provides a supporting force and limits the deployment shape of the first and second cushions at the time of deployment of the first and second cushions. According to the present invention, both side surfaces and the front surface of the occupant are efficiently restricted by improving the lateral strength of the airbag cushion to safely protect the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision.

摘要： A gas generator includes a housing constructed by combining and joining a plurality of shell members. One of the plurality of shell members includes a cylindrical portion and a flange portion. The cylindrical portion is provided with a plurality of gas discharge openings including gas discharge openings different in opening area from one another. The flange portion is shaped such that a distance from an axial line of the cylindrical portion to an outer edge of the flange portion is non-uniform. When a perpendicular line is drawn to the axial line from a maximum outer geometry position in the outer edge of the flange portion most distant from the axial line, a gas discharge opening arranged closest to the perpendicular line is a gas discharge opening other than a gas discharge opening largest in opening area among the plurality of gas discharge openings.

An initiator is disposed proximate the first axial end of the housing and an operable closure is disposed proximate the second axial end of the housing. 摘要： An airbag system includes an airbag. The airbag system includes a base defining a track extending from a first end to a second end. The airbag system includes a carrier releasably fixed to the base and removable from the base at the second end. The airbag system includes a tether extending from the carrier and secured to the airbag. The airbag system includes a spring disposed at the first end. The spring is disposed between the carrier and the base. Upon application of a force to the carrier, e.g., via the tether when the airbag is inflated, the carrier is released from the base and compresses the spring. Upon removal of the force, the spring urges the carrier toward the second end where the carrier is ejected.

摘要： A roof-mounted energy absorbing countermeasure system for use in a vehicle is provided. In one example, the system may include an impact detection module configured to detect whether a vehicle has experienced an impact and generate an impact detection signal in response thereto. The system may also include a countermeasure disposed between an outer roof panel of the vehicle and an inner roof panel of the vehicle. The outer roof panel and the inner roof panel may be separated by a first distance in a pre-impact state. The countermeasure may eb configured to deploy, in response to generation of the impact detection signal, so as to cause at least a portion of the outer roof panel and at least a portion of the inner roof panel to be separated by a second distance that is greater than the first distance.
