    • The present invention relates to a portable reusable hazardous waste container system which preferably includes a plurality of elongate waste containers which are attachable in fluid flow communication with each other and with a drilling apparatus. The containers can be transported to a drilling site by stacking them in nesting fashion on a transport vehicle and can be emptied of drilling waste after a drilling operation is completed and retransported to another drilling site. The containers include a bracing structure at the bottom thereof which allows each container to be nested within another container without causing substantial frictional interference which would make it difficult to separate the containers for reuse. The waste container system of the present invention alleviates the need for construction of a ground pit for storage of drilling waste at a drilling site.

    • A system for shipping liquids is disclosed which comprises a container (12) which consists of two identical shells (16) the upper one of which is inverted with respect to the lower one. Toggles (32) and latches (34) are provided for pulling the two shells (16) together. The container rests on a frame, which includes pipework (44) for connecting to an inlet/outlet (26.1) in the base of the lower shell of the container. The equivalent inlet/outlet in the top of the upper shell of the container receives a gas escape vent (52).     • One embodiment of the disclosed drop box comprises end wall portions that taper from a first end to a second end, such as being wider adjacent to an open top portion and narrower adjacent to a bottom wall. The end walls are coupled to the bottom wall, which also tapers from a first end to a second end, such as tapering from a wide end adjacent to a front end wall to a narrower end adjacent to a back end wall. The drop box thus can have a taper in a first direction and a taper in a second direction. These tapers in the first and second directions can be sized and shaped as desired and to allow a first drop box to be nested with a second drop box, such as for transport or storage.

    • A septic tank is constructed from top and bottom shells. The top and bottom shells are nestable within like top and bottom shells in order to allow greater numbers of septic tanks to be shipped one a cargo truck or railroad car. In a preferred embodiment, both the top and bottom shells have peripheral flanges that interlock together. The septic tank is assembled at its sight of intended use by placing the top and bottom shells together, inserting a gasket material between the interlocking peripheral flanges, and affixing a plurality of clips over the interlocking peripheral flanges to hold the top and bottom shells together. Preferably, the peripheral flanges serve the function of an integral antifloatation collar for the septic tank. The antifloatation collar increases the cross sectional area of the septic tank over which soil is applied, and allow the tank to be firmly held in the ground without the use of an anchor or ground screw.
