摘要： A banknote processing apparatus capable of properly storing and dispensing a banknote is provided. The banknote processing apparatus includes: a transport unit that transports a banknote; a long-edge orientation storage unit that receives and stores, in a first orientation, the banknote transported by the transport unit, the first orientation being an orientation in which a short edge of the banknote is a leading edge thereof; a short-edge orientation storage unit that receives and stores, in a second orientation, the banknote transported by the transport unit, the second orientation being an orientation in which a long edge of the banknote is a leading edge thereof; and a control unit that selects, by controlling the transport unit, a storage destination for the banknote transported by the transport unit, from among any of the long-edge orientation storage unit and the short-edge orientation storage unit.

摘要： A sheet storing apparatus includes a plurality of sheet storing units. Each of the sheet storing unit includes a fixed stacking portion configured to stack thereon a sheet conveyed by conveyance roller pairs, and a pushing unit configured to contact an edge of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion and to move the sheet in a direction substantially perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction. A drive transmission unit for transmitting a driving force generated by a motor to drive the pushing unit is located upstream of the fixed stacking portion with respect to a direction in which the pushing unit moves the sheet. When the pushing unit is moving the sheet, a part of the drive transmission unit enters the inside of a sheet stacking range of the fixed stacking portion.

摘要： A system for transporting pallets with stacked items, such as paper or cardboard, comprises at least two supply lines, which run in a transport direction and the end regions are laterally next to each other. Each group of stacks has at least two stacks arranged next to one another transversely with respect to the transport direction. The pallets are a small distance from one another. A transport device is provided which is movable laterally to the end regions for taking delivery of the entire group from said supply line. A transfer station comprises supply, hoisting and removal devices. The transport device is movable laterally for transferring the entire group to the supply device. The hoisting device transfers either a stack of items of one group or simultaneously a plurality of stacks of items from the supply device to the removal device. The removal device comprises two independently drivable conveyor belts.

摘要： A method for feeding a shingled stack of sheet material to a downstream processing device includes the step of identifying a discontinuity in the shingled stack of sheet material wherein the discontinuity has a length dimension from an aft end of a downstream portion of the shingled sheet material to a forward end of an upstream portion of the shingled sheet material. In a next step, the motion of first and second serially arranged conveyors are controlled such that the length dimension of the discontinuity is substantially equal to a prescribed gap of known length dimension. The first conveyor supports the upstream portion of the shingled sheet material and the second conveyor supports the downstream portion of the shingled sheet material. The deck of the first is advanced over the deck of the second conveyor toward the aft end of the downstream portion by the length dimension of the prescribed gap. The upstream portion is then dispensed into shingled engagement with the downstream portion to produce a continuous stack of shingled sheet material.
