摘要： An automated apparatus and method for collecting and dispensing rejected cards in a tray in a card attaching system. Sheets are transported on a moving belt. Cards are fed from a feeder above the moving belt. Cards are deposited onto the sheets. When a card rejection condition is detected, a rejected card is diverted and deposited in a tray having a sloped chute. The sloped chute extends down to a lower position beyond an outside edge of the moving belt. To facilitate movement down the chute, the tray is vibrated. This vibration is accomplished by supporting the tray on a roller assembly that rolls on a surface of the moving belt as it passes under the sloped chute. The roller is non-circular or of an eccentric configuration, such that the axis of the roller will experience a vertical displacement as the roller rotates, jogging the tray.

摘要： Apparatus for stacking and storing a plurality of flat objects, such as letters. The apparatus includes at least one storage box and a loading device designed to transport the flat objects from a source and to project them into the interior of the box. The box and loading device are respectively positioned so that the flat objects are projected into the box at an incline with respect to its bottom and a portion of each object's leading edge impacts a stopping surface formed in one of the side walls of the box. This impact imparts a rotational couple to the object which brings the lower edge of the object into firm engagement with the box bottom. The object is then moved onto the stack of similar objects being formed in the box, either by gravity or an auxiliary device. In one preferred embodiment, relative movement is provided between the box and loading device so that the objects can be projected into the box at a point close to the top of the stack. Other embodiments provide for automatic feed of boxes past the loading device so that loading can be performed continuously.

摘要： The present invention is to provide a media processing apparatus for enabling a plurality of discharge sections disposed one side of the apparatus to be disposed parallel inside saved space, the media processing apparatus is provided with a plurality of discharge sections (correct card discharge section and error card discharge section) disposed on one side of an apparatus housing, and a discharge member (card reverse section) that discharges a card C to each discharge section. In such a card processing apparatus, a width dimension (length dimension in the discharge direction of the card) of a discharge stacker of the first card discharge section is wider than a width dimension of the card C, and a width dimension of a frame body of the error card discharge section is narrower than the width dimension of the card C.
