摘要： A modular bin or pocket has an integrated transport assembly and mail piece diverter assembly and is usable in a bin stacker section in mail handling and sorting systems. The modular bin is individually removable, interchangeable and replaceable from the bin stacker sections of the mail processing system to allow for repair or maintenance of malfunctioning bins leading to reduced down time of the mail processing system. The modular bin further enables vertical and/or horizontal progressive modularity, i.e., vertical and/or horizontal expansion, of the bin stacker sections of the mail processing system which allows for cost-effective expansion of mail handling systems. Further, there is closed a tray management system and a tier diverter system that are usable in mail handling systems that use the modular bin with double sided bin stacker sections or single sided bin stacker sections with or without a turnaround section.

摘要： A print control apparatus to discharge sheets printed by a printing unit to discharging destinations. The print control apparatus includes a first determination unit, a second determination unit, and a selecting unit. When an input print job is to be executed by the printing unit, the first determination unit determines how many sheets are to be discharged, corresponding to a single copy based on the print job. The second determination unit determines how many discharging destinations are required for discharging the determined number of sheets. If the determined number of discharging destinations is a multiple value, the selecting unit selects multiple discharging destinations located closest to each other as discharging destinations for the sheets printed. The multiple discharging destinations are selected by the selecting unit before the printing unit begins printing operation based on the print job.

Multiple pressure rollers are each pressed against an outer surface of the drum. A circling route for banknote conveyance, having a discrimination sensor, is formed around the outer surface of the drum. The units are connected to the circling conveyance route by their respective interconnecting route for banknote conveyance. A route changer is provided for conducting route changes from the circling conveyance route to each interconnecting conveyance route, and vice versa. A rotational direction of a rotary drum during the conveyance of a banknote into either of the units, and a rotational direction of the drum during the conveyance of a banknote into either of the units arranged at an opposite side from the units in a diametral direction of the conveyance drum, are also made opposite to each other.
