摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided including an image forming unit configured to form an image on a print medium, and a printed medium post-processing unit configured to receive and post-process printed media on which an image forming process is completed from the image forming unit. The printed medium post-processing unit selectively comprises one of a first stacker module in which a first amount of post-processed printed media is able to be loaded, and a second stacker module in which a second amount of post-processed printed media is able to be loaded. Therefore, it may be possible to flexibly respond to a loading amount of the printed media necessary for the printed medium post-processing unit.

摘要： With a method for operating a transport system, used in the production of printed products composed of signatures or printed sheets, at least one first conveying belt is provided downstream of a printing press designed for producing the signatures or printed sheets. Further downstream, this conveying belt is divided into at least two individually operating conveying paths, wherein at the end of each of the conveying paths the transported signatures or printed sheets are supplied while positioned straddling and via a continuously operating folding device to at least one intermediate gathering device. For the further transport, the signatures or printed sheets are transferred from the gathering device in a serial, monotonous, intermittent, synchronous or non-synchronous sequence to a main conveying section. The signatures or printed sheets which are combined to form partial book blocks or complete book blocks are then wire-stapled, thread-stitched or bound with adhesive.

摘要： A sheet-conveying device includes a sheet conveying path along which a sheet is conveyed, a conveying roller, an inclined roller, an inclined-roller-supporting member that supports the inclined roller such that the inclined roller can rotate around a rotational axis that is inclined with respect to a rotational axis of the conveying roller, and a sheet contact member having a contact surface with which an edge portion of the sheet comes into contact. The inclined-roller-supporting member moves between a position where the inclined roller comes into pressure contact with the conveying roller and a position where the inclined roller is separated from the conveying roller. The sheet contact member moves between a position where the edge portion of the sheet can come into contact with the contact surface and a position where the contact surface cannot restrict the position of the edge portion of the sheet.

The main body (68) is provided with a hook (71) for fixing the main body upright to the sheet holding portion. The restriction member is attached to and detached from the sheet holding portion by deforming the hook (71) toward a space (72) defined between the hook and the main body. Unless the hook is deformed toward the space (72), the restriction member cannot be detached from the sheet holding portion. The main body (68) is provided with a rear support plate (70) for supporting a rear end of a sheet stack. The rear support plate (70) is displaceable so as to support the rear end of the sheet stack. An insert (82) is provided integrally with the rear support plate (70). The insert (82) is usually inserted in the space (72) to prevent the deformation of the hook (71).

摘要： In an installation for processing piece goods and comprising at least one processing station with at least one means for supplying products to be processed and with at least one means for removing processed products, a processing device (1) serves for product processing and for product supply and/or product removal a supply unit (10.1) or removal unit (10.2) is provided which unit is displaceable relative to the processing device. These units comprise a closed-in-itself rails track (11), along which product grippers travel substantially independently of one another carrying products (20) from a take-over zone (12) through a buffering zone (13) into a delivery zone (14) and without products along a return sector (16) from the delivery zone (14) back to the take-over zone (12). The units further comprise a take-over drive and a delivery drive, these drives being independent of one another. The delivery drive of the supply unit (10.1) and the take-over drive of the removal unit are couplable to the periphery of the processing device e.g. by means of a power take-off (boldface arrow 22) in the form of a toothed belt. By means of this coupling the corresponding drive is synchronized with the processing device or is in addition to being synchronized also being driven by the processing device. The installation is e.g. used for producing products from a plurality of sub-products, wherein the majority of the means for supplying the sub-products are designed as supply units (10.1). These units render the installation very flexible with respect to the production of different products and give it easy handling for conversions, adjustments, trouble-shooting and maintenance.
