摘要： In accordance with one embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a cassette for paper feed configured to contain a tray capable of stacking papers stored in a packaging member of which one end portion is opened, together with the packaging member; a paper feed section configured to contain a pickup roller which picks up the papers stored in the packaging member from the opened end portion of the packaging member; a regulating member configured to regulate that the packaging member is conveyed from the tray of the cassette; and a protrusion configured to be formed and protrude from the regulating member to cover the opened end portion of the packaging member.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an accommodation unit, feeding, conveying, and separating members, and detecting, control, image forming, and regulating units. The conveying member conveys a fed recording material. The separating member forms a nip and separates recording materials. The detecting unit detects that the recording material has been fed to the nip. The feeding member starts feeding an accommodated recording material and, where a recording material is fed to the nip, causes the feeding to be finished. An image is formed on a fed recording material. The regulating unit regulates an end on an upstream side. The control unit measures a period from a recording material feeding to detection that a recording material is fed to the nip. Based on the measured period, information is output indicating that a position of the regulating unit is deviated from a position according to a size of the accommodated recording materials.

The method and device of the invention involve locating the top cutout of the stack using a camera (10), preliminarily detaching the cutout from the remainder of the stack, gripping, by means of suction, the thus-located top cutout, moving said cutout by means of a robotic arm (17) and releasing same to a next station, for or prior to subsequent shaping, and repeating the above cycle of steps with the next top cutout.

Overlapping sheets which pass the first and second separation units and are not separated are detected to be overlapped in a state that they are clamped by the nip of the drawing roller and pinch roller. When overlapping is detected, in a state that the rear ends of the overlapping sheets in the conveying direction are restricted by the nip, the drawing roller and pinch roller are stopped and the overlapping sheets are re-separated.

摘要： A sheet feeding device includes a sheet supporting portion, a sheet feeding portion, and a movable regulating portion. The sheet feeding portion feeds a sheet bundle uppermost sheet. The movable regulating portion is disposed downstream of the sheet bundle in a sheet feeding direction such that the movable regulating portion is tiltable between a regulation position and a regulation release position. While the movable regulating portion regulates the sheet bundle movement in the regulation position, the sheet feeding portion forms a loop in the uppermost sheet between the sheet feeding portion and the movable regulating portion, the movable regulating portion is moved to the regulation release position after loop formation to remove the formed loop, and the movable regulating portion is returned to the regulation position after loop removal such that the movable regulating portion raises the uppermost sheet leading end to separate the uppermost sheet from other sheets.
