摘要： Certain example embodiments relate to coated articles supporting high-entropy nitride and/or oxide thing film inclusive coatings, and/or methods of making the same. The example high-entropy alloys systems described herein are heat stable and may be used in optical coatings. A first material system that may be used in connection with certain example embodiments includes SiAlN with one or more (and preferably two or more) of elements such as Hf, Y, Zr, Ti, Ta, and Nb. A second material system that may be used in connection with certain example embodiments includes TiO, with one or more (and preferably two or more) of elements such as Fe, Co, Ni, Sn, Zn, and N. The material systems may in some cases be high-index materials that can serve as a substitute for titanium oxide in layer stacks, in some example applications.

摘要： Provided is a method for preparing a one-dimensional spin photonic crystal device and a one-dimensional spin photonic crystal device prepared by the same. The method comprises forming magnetic and nonmagnetic regions by the interference of laser beams generated from a femtosecond laser light source. The method of the present invention enables production of one-dimensional spin photonic crystals having excellent properties by a rapid and simple process, and is therefore suitable for high integration and large-scale production of desired devices. Further, the prepared photonic crystals exhibit excellent magneto-optical effects and are therefore applicable to development of novel optical devices, and the like.

摘要： An aluminum-scandium (Al—Sc) alloy film applied to vehicle lamps and a manufacturing method thereof are revealed. The Al—Sc alloy film contains a trace of scandium so that both temperature for grain refinement and temperature for recrystallization of the film are increased. This results in a fine and smooth surface of the Al—Sc alloy film and the Al—Sc alloy film has better optical reflectivity. Moreover, the Al—Sc alloy film has high recrystallization temperature and high adhesion strength. After high temperature annealing treatment, the Al—Sc alloy film still has higher corrosion resistance.

摘要： A composition for the manufacture of an opaque silvery coating on a glass surface is provided. The composition comprises a mixture of at least two metal powders. The metal powder mixture contains carbonyl iron and aluminum, and a carrier liquid for forming a suspension of the metal powder mixture. A method for manufacturing an opaque silvery coating for a lamp having a glass envelope is also provided. In the method, a suspension comprising a mixture of carbonyl iron and aluminum powders in a carrier liquid is applied onto the envelope of the lamp. The suspension is dried, and thereafter the composition remaining from the suspension is burned at a temperature above 500° C. A lamp with a glass envelope and a single layer opaque coating covering at least a part of the glass envelope is also disclosed. The opaque coating comprises 50 to 80 weight % carbonyl iron and 20 to 50 weight % elementary aluminum.
