摘要： The invention provides methods of making hydrolyzed cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogels by polymerizing vinyl acetate (VAc) monomers to polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) polymer network by chemical-crosslinking and hydrolysis. The invention also provides methods for including pendant chains in the hydrogel during the polymerization process. Materials produced and use of the cross-linked hydrolyzed PVA hydrogels also are disclosed herein.

摘要： A sealing composition for a photonic crystal fiber which comprises a compound represented by the following general formula (I), a compound represented by the following general formula (II) and a photo-polymerization initiator: Tf1-(O)a—(CH2)b—(CF2)m—(CH2)b—(O)a-Tf1 (I) Tf2-(O)a—(CH2)b—(CF2)m—(CH2)b—(O)a-Tf2 (II) wherein a represents 0 or 1, b represents 0 or 1, m represents an integer of 4 to 12, Tf1 represents a glycidyl group, and Tf2 represents CH2═CH—C(O)—; and a method for producing an optical fiber comprising filling air holes with above sealing composition and polishing and end surface; and an optical fiber having air holes in the inside which is produced by the method. The above sealing composition can achieve a low refractive index, and also is excellent in the low viscosity and heat resistance, and exhibits good filling characteristics and good polishing processability.

摘要： A photocurable and thermosetting resin composition comprises (A) an actinic energy ray-curable resin having at least one structure represented by the following general formula (1), (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a diluent, and (D) a polyfunctional oxetane compound. The actinic energy ray-curable resin mentioned above can be produced by causing the reaction of (a) a polyfunctional oxetane compound with (b) an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and the subsequent reaction of (c) a polybasic acid anhydride with a primary hydroxyl group of the resultant modified oxetane resin (anull). 1 wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R2, R3 and R4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a cyano group, a fluorine atom, or a furyl group, and X represents a polybasic acid anhydride residue.

摘要： There is disclosed a photo-imaging resist ink containing (A) an unsaturated group-containing polycarboxylic acid resin which is a reaction product of (c) succinic anhydride with an additive reaction product of (a) an epoxy resin with (b) an unsaturated group-containing monocarboxylic acid, wherein (a) the epoxy resin is represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein M stands for ##STR2## n is at least 1 on the average; and m is 1 to n on the average. The resist ink is excellent in developability and photosensitivity, while the cured product thereof is excellent in flex resistance and folding resistance, and well satisfactory in adhesion, pencil hardness, solvent resistance, acid resistance, heat resistance, etc.

摘要： Epoxy acrylate resins of this invention having a structure of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, R' is hydrogen or methyl group, and n is an integer from 0 to 20 are heat-resistant, solvent-soluble, and photosensitive and photosensitive resin compositions containing said epoxy acrylate resins as main component exhibit high photosensitivity in addition to strong adhesion to substrates, good resistance to heat and chemicals, and good mechanical and electrical properties and are useful as materials for forming insulation films for multilayer devices and protective films for image sensors and as protective films for solder resists, plating resists, and color filters.
