摘要： Two-component polyurethane adhesives include a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. The polyol component includes a polyether polyol and an aliphatic diol chain extender, but is devoid of primary and second amine compounds. The polyisocyanate component includes one or more polyisocyanate compounds. The adhesive contains a mixture of a dialkyltin-thioglycolate catalyst and an acid-blocked cyclic amidine catalyst. The tin catalyst is formulated into the polyol component, whereas the cyclic amidine catalyst can be formulated into either the polyol or the polyisocyanate components.

摘要： Principles and embodiments of the present invention relate generally to thermoplastic polyurethane materials having controlled and improved stiffness and/or flexibility, and methods to prepare them. The thermoplastic polyurethanes described herein having superior stiffness and softening properties may be fabricated into film, tubing, and other forms of medical devices. The thermoplastic polyurethanes comprise: an aromatic diisocyanate excluding non-aromatic diisocyanates; at least one polyglycol; and a chain extender comprising at least one side-chain branching diol and excluding linear diols.

摘要： A method for forming an aqueous polyurethane dispersion including providing an isocyanate (NCO)-terminated prepolymer with a side-chain reactive functional group by admixing (i) at least one diisocyanate, (ii) at least one difunctional polyol, (iii) a short-chain diol monomer having a side-chain reactive functional group or a modified clay thereof, (iv) at least one hydroxy carboxylic acid compound and (v) a hydrophilic cosolvent; neutralizing the NCO-terminated prepolymer with a tertiary amine; dispersing the NCO-terminated prepolymer in water; and admixing the NCO-terminated prepolymer with at least one chain extending agent comprising a hydrophilic diamine; wherein the short-chain diol monomer (iii) is expressed by structural formula (I): wherein, A is an azetidine-2,4-dione functional group or a malonamide-linked alkyl group and B is a nitrogen-linked di-hydroxy terminal group or tertiary amine-linked di-hydroxy terminal group wherein IDD was synthesized by methylenedi-p-phenyl diisocyanate and isobutyryl chloride using triethylamine as catalyst.

摘要： Polyurethane elastomers are formed by curing a reaction mixture containing at least one polyisocyanate at least one polyol, an aliphatic diol chain extender and a small amount of a secondary amino compound that may have none or one or more hydroxyl groups. The reaction is catalyzed with a metal catalyst. In certain embodiments, the catalyst is an organozirconium, organotitanium or tertiary amine-based catalyst. The presence of the secondary amine compound in those cases provides for a good surface appearance and good physical properties.
