摘要： A problem is to provide, in the field of polyhydroxy polyurethane resins the development of applications of which has not moved ahead by conventional technologies, a self-crosslinking polyhydroxy polyurethane resin, which enables to provide products, such as imitation leathers, excellent in abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance and the like, and moreover, which is useful from the view point of a reduction in greenhouse gas, contains carbon dioxide incorporated and fixed therein, and is responsive to environmental conservation. Provided are a self-crosslinking, polysiloxane-modified, polyhydroxy polyurethane resin having masked isocyanate groups in a structure of a polysiloxane-modified, polyhydroxy polyurethane resin derived from a reaction of a 5-membered cyclic carbonate compound and an amine-modified polysiloxane compound and having polysiloxane segments therein; a production process of the self-crosslinking resin; a resin material containing the self-crosslinking resin; and an imitation leather composed of a base fabric and a resin composition composed of the self-crosslinking resin as its principal component and impregnated in or laminated on the base fabric.

摘要： The present invention relates to biocompatible, biodegradable polyurethane/urea polymeric compositions that are capable of in-vivo curing with low heat generation to form materials suitable for use in scaffolds in tissue engineering applications such as bone and cartilage repair. The polymers are desirably flowable and injectable and can support living biological components to aid in the healing process. They may be cured ex-vivo for invasive surgical repair methods, or alternatively utilized for relatively non-invasive surgical repair methods such as by arthroscope. The invention also relates to prepolymers useful in the preparation of the polymeric compositions, and to methods of treatment of damaged tissue using the polymers of the invention.

摘要： In a cationic electrodeposition coating composition and a method of preparing the cationic electrodeposition coating composition, a cationic electrodeposition coating composition is prepared by dispersing a cationic electrodeposition resin in an aqueous medium containing about 0.5 to 3% by weight of zinc acetate. The cationic electrodeposition resin is prepared by reacting about 40 to about 60% by weight of a cationic resin prepared by an epoxy-amino addition reaction, about 2 to about 5% by weight of an acrylic cationic resin having an amino group, and about 30 to about 50% by weight of a polyisocyanate curing agent including partially blocked isocyanate functional groups. The cured film formed on the hard disc driver base frame by using the cationic electrodeposition coating composition contains no heavy metal such as lead or tin, has no appearance defect such as a pinhole and has excellent corrosion-resistance even when being cured at low temperature.

The initiator has a radical-forming portion and a functional group. The first compound, which includes a vinyl functional group, is reactive with the initiator to form a functionalized intermediate. The core molecule is reactive with the functionalized intermediate to form the acrylic composition. A method of forming the acrylic composition via free-radical polymerization includes the steps of reacting the initiator and the first compound to form the functionalized intermediate, and reacting the core molecule with the functionalized intermediate to form the acrylic composition.

摘要： A composition includes at least one biologically active agent covalently attached to a first polymerizing molecule that is adapted to undergo a free radical polymerization. The first polymerizing molecule retains the ability to undergo free radical polymerization after attachment of the bioactive agent thereto. The first polymerizing molecule is preferably biocompatible. The polymerizing molecule can, for example. be dihydroxyphenyl-L-alanine (DOPA) or tyrosine. The composition can also include a second component synthesized by reacting at least one core molecule having a plurality of reactive hydrogen groups with at least one multi-isocyanate functional molecule to create a conjugate including terminal isocyanate groups. The conjugate molecule is reacted with a second polymerizing molecule that is adapted to undergo a free radical polymerization. The second polymerizing molecule includes a reactive hydrogen to react with the isocyanate groups of the conjugate. The second polymerizing molecule retains the ability to undergo the free radical polymerization after reaction with the conjugate. In several embodiments, the first polymerizing molecule and the second polymerizing molecule are the same and dihydroxyphenyl-L-alanine (DOPA) or tyrosine.

Also provided is a substantially homogeneous, curable, oil-in-water emulsion produced by, as well as a method of producing such by, the steps of admixing the components of the non-aqueous emulsifiable composition as described above and, thereafter, contacting such emulsifiable composition and an aqueous medium in proportions and under conditions so as to result in a substantially homogeneous, oil-in-water emulsion. Such curable emulsions find particular use in a variety of coatings applications.
