摘要： A continuous solution polymerization process is disclosed wherein at least two homogeneous catalyst formulations are employed. A first homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a first reactor to produce a first ethylene interpolymer and a second homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a second reactor to produce a second ethylene interpolymer. Optionally a third ethylene interpolymer is formed in a third reactor. The resulting ethylene interpolymer products possess desirable properties in a variety of end use applications, for example in film applications. A means for increasing the molecular weight of the first ethylene interpolymer is disclosed and/or a means for increasing the temperature of the first reactor, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation. A means for reducing the (α-olefin/ethylene) weight ratio in the first reactor is disclosed and/or reducing the density of the first ethylene interpolymer, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation.

摘要： The instant invention provides a polyethylene blend-composition suitable for blown films, and films made therefrom. The polyethylene blend-composition suitable for blown films according to the present invention comprises the melt blending product of: (a) from 0.5 to 4 percent by weight of a low density polyethylene having a density in the range of from 0.915 to 0.935 g/cm3, and a melt index (I2) in the range of from greater than 0.8 to less than or equal to 5 g/10 minutes, and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of from 6 to 10; (b) 90 percent or greater by weight of a linear low density polyethylene composition has a density in the range of 0.900 to 0.935 g/cm3, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of 1.5 to 4.5, a melt index (I2) in the range of 0.1 to 5 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (Mz/Mw) in the range of less than 3, vinyl unsaturation of less than 0.1 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of said composition, and a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range from 1 to less than 2; (c) optionally a hydrotalcite based neutralizing agent; (d) optionally one or more nucleating agents; (e) and optionally one or more antioxidants.

摘要： The invention describes a foamable thermoplastic mixture, comprising (A) at least one thermoplastic polymer selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA), ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer (EBA), ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-butene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene copolymer, (B) at least one long chain branched polymer as a foam stabilizer selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA), ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer (EBA), ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-butene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene copolymer and (C) at least one chemical blowing agent, wherein the long chain branched polymer (B) is present in an amount of 1 to 30 wt. % relative to the total weight of thermoplastic polymer (A) and long chain branched polymer (B), and at least one of the following distinguishing features applies to the thermoplastic polymer (A) and the long chain branched polymer (B): 1) the value of the melt flow index (MFI) of the long chain branched polymer (B) (MFI(B)) is smaller than the MFI value of the thermoplastic polymer (A) (MFI(A)), wherein MFI(B) is a maximum of 50% of MFI(A), 2) the g value of the long chain branched polymer (B) (g(B)) is smaller than the g value of the thermoplastic polymer (A) (g(A)), wherein g(B) is a maximum of 80% of g(A), 3) the polymer type of the long chain branched polymer (B) differing from the polymer type of the thermoplastic polymer (A). The foamable thermoplastic mixture can be injection molded without foaming and is suitable for the production of low-density foams which can be used, for example, as damping materials or foamed membranes.
