摘要： Provided herein are back sheets comprising and/or otherwise made from thermoplastic vulcanizates, PV modules comprising such TPV-based back sheets, and methods for forming the TPV back sheets and PV modules. TPV-based back sheets provide particular advantages over incumbent back sheets, including increased flexibility, greater electrical insulation properties, and more desirable barrier properties. The TPV-based back sheets of some embodiments provide PV modules improved endurance, particularly under the changing and often harsh environmental conditions in which PV modules are often deployed. The TPV-based back sheets of some embodiments also enable efficient construction of unusual PV module geometries, such as non-planar (e.g., curved and/or hinged) geometries.

摘要： A fluid check valve incorporating a temporary elastomeric functional barrier membrane, the check valve having a sealing member comprising a first elastomer and a barrier membrane comprising a second elastomer, different from the first elastomer, disposed directly upon the surface of the sealing member so as to form a continuous layer over at least a seal opening of the sealing member. The barrier membrane may include a photoinitiator and coagent which aids in the ultraviolet (UV) curing of the second elastomer after application upon the first. The barrier membrane may applied as a solution of monomers, photoinitiator, and optional coagent, the solvent evaporated, and the deposited solutes exposed to ultraviolet so as to form the barrier membrane material.

摘要： The present application relates to an encapsulant for a PV module, a method of manufacturing the same and a PV module. The encapsulant according to an embodiment of the present application has excellent heat resistance or the like and improved creep physical properties, and thus even when the encapsulant is used under conditions of a high temperature and/or high humidity for a long time, deformation is small and the encapsulant can exhibit excellent adhesive strength. Accordingly, when the encapsulant is applied to a PV module, durability or the like may be improved.

摘要： A method for preparing a “preblend” of nano-structured carbon, such as nanotubes, fullerenes, or graphene, and a particulate solid, such as carbon black, graphitic particles or glassy carbon involving wet-mixing and followed by optional drying to remove the liquid medium. The preblend may be in the form of a core-shell powder material with the nano-structured carbon as the shell on the particulate solid core. The preblend may provide particularly improved dispersion of single-wall nanotubes in ethylene-α-olefin elastomer compositions, resulting in improved reinforcement from the nanotubes. The improved elastomer compositions may show simultaneous improvement in both modulus and in elongation at break. The elastomer compositions may be formed into useful rubber articles.

摘要： The curable composition of the present invention contains (A1) a silyl-containing ethylene/null-olefin/non-conjugated polyene random copolymer rubber which has a structural unit derived from a norbornene compound as the non-conjugated polyene with at least one specific vinyl group at the terminal and contains a specific hydrolyzable silyl group, and (B) a compound, other than the rubber (A1), having a hydroxyl group and/or a hydrolyzable group, e.g., (B1) a compound having a silanol group and/or a compound which can react with moisture to form a compound having a silanol group in the molecule. This compound improves elongation of the cured product and residual surface tackiness, and, at the same time, is high in curing speed and capable of giving the cured product of high resistance to weather. It is suitable for, e.g., adhesives, tackifiers, paints, sealants, waterproof materials, spray materials, shaping materials and casting rubber materials.
