The dispersion provides superior soil resistance when compared to known fluorochemical and silicone fiber treatments. 摘要： A low melting, high solids spin finish composition is provided that can be readily applied to synthetic fibers during the fiber-making process. The spin finish solids, which make up at least about 70% by weight of the spin finish composition, comprise nonionic hydrocarbon surfactant components, such as polyoxyalkylenes, which have a value of from about 2 to 13 and a melting point within the range of about 25.degree. C. to about 140.degree. C. In some embodiments, the spin finish composition also includes select fluorochemicals.

摘要： Disclosed are spray-on anti-soil formulations, and methods for treating fibers, carpets, and fabrics with the same. The anti-soil formulations comprise a synergistic blend of an anti-soil component and a stain blocker component adapted to be sprayed-on a fiber, carpet, or fabric instead of known exhaust applications. The anti-soil component can be either fluorochemical or non-fluorochemical based, while the stain blocker can comprise any chemical that blocks positively charged dye sites. Fibers, carpets and fabrics treated with the anti-soil formulations exhibit superior anti-soil characteristics compared to sprayed-on fluorochemicals and exhibit similar anti-soil characteristics compared to known exhaust applications.

摘要： A textile having high fluorine adhesion rate, and excellent water- and oil-repellency can be obtained by a method of producing a treated textile, comprising steps of: (1) preparing a treatment liquid comprising a water- and oil-repellent agent which comprises at least one fluorine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a fluorine-containing polymer or a fluorine-containing low molecular weight compound, (2) adjusting pH of the treatment liquid to at most 7, (3) applying the treatment liquid to a textile, (4) treating the textile with steam, and (5) washing the textile with water and dehydrating the textile, wherein the treatment liquid comprises a thermally gelling substance and a salt.

摘要： A textile having durability of maintaining water- and sufficient oil-repellency and soil releasability before and after cleaning can be obtained by a method of preparing a treated textile, having steps of: (1) preparing a treatment liquid containing a water- and oil-repellent agent, (2) adjusting pH of the treatment liquid to at most 7, preferably at most 3, (3) applying the treatment liquid to a textile, (4) treating the textile with steam, and (5) washing the textile with water and dehydrating the textile, wherein the water- and oil-repellent agent is an emulsion containing a fluorine-containing compound and an emulsifier, the fluorine-containing compound is a fluorine-containing polymer and/or a fluorine-containing low molecular weight compound, and the emulsifier contains an anionic surface active agent having pKa of at least 2.

摘要： Bisperfluoroalkyl-substituted diols containing sulfide, sulfone or polysulfide linkages and a method for making them are described. These diols can react with isocyanates to form urethanes; diisocyanates to form polyurethanes; chloroformates to form carbonates; with carboxylic, sulfuric or phosphoric acids or derivatives to form carboxylate esters, sulfate esters, phosphate esters respectively. These diol compounds and their derivatives are useful for imparting oil and water repellency to substrates such as glass, wood, paper, leather, wool, cotton, polyester and other substrates.
