    • Provided is an electromagnetic fuel injection valve in which in both operations of opening and closing a valve, a movable element is made to free run before a valve element starts to operate, and bounding motion of the movable element occurring at the time of the valve opening operation is reduced, thereby balancing improvement of responsiveness and improvement of stability of operation. There are equipped with: a first movable element 105, which is biased by a first spring 106 biasing in a valve closing direction, as a movable element which opens and closes a valve when being attracted by a magnetic core 109 of the electromagnetic fuel injection valve; and a second movable element 104 biased toward the magnetic core 109 by a second spring 112 biasing in a valve opening direction.

    • In an electromagnetic fuel injection valve including a magnetic coil housing (31) having a coil assembly (28) housed therein, the coil housing (31) includes the first and second coil housing half bodies (31a, 31b) whose cross sections are each shaped like an inferior arc, and which are oppositely disposed so as to interpose the coil assembly (28) and a coupler (34), each of the coil housing half bodies (31a, 31b) includes: a barrel portion (44) for covering an outer peripheral surface of the coil assembly (28); a front-end wall portion (45) and a rear-end wall portion (46) which are in contact with front-end and rear-end surfaces of the coil assembly (28); a front connection cylindrical portion (47) welded to the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic cylindrical body (4); and a rear connection cylindrical portion (48) welded to the outer peripheral surface of the fixed core (5); both the coil housing half bodies are formed symmetrically; and one half part and the other half part of each of the coil housing half bodies (31a, 31b) in an axial direction are formed symmetrically. Thus, it is possible to provide an electromagnetic fuel injection valve which enables the coil housing to be formed from two identical components, and is inexpensive and good in assembling efficiency, as well as has a better magnetic efficiency.

    • Fuel injection apparatus comprising a solenoid coil (40); an armature (41) coupled with a valve element (34) operable to open and close a fuel valve (32) when the solenoid coil (40) is selectively energized and de-energised. The valve element (34) is biased to the closed position by a biasing device (42). Magnetic force from the energized solenoid coil moves the armature (41) and valve element (34) to open the valve to an opening position to deliver fuel reached when a controller (170) calculates opening forces balance closing forces. Such opening position control is used to control fuel flow rate to a gas fuelled engine (20) and/or reduce noise vibration harshness in varied engine types. Balance of forces control, on closing of the valve, reduces or avoids impact of the valve element (34) with a physical stop (106), thus reducing engine noise, and can be used in fuel metering.

    • A fuel injection valve in which, even in an engine in which a fuel containing many foreign matters is used, pinching of solid foreign matters, such as impurities, dirt and dust, and combustion residues, in a sliding part on the outer periphery of a needle valve, the tip of the needle valve, and a seat of a nozzle tip, malfunction an seizure of the needle valve due to such containing, and poor combustion due to irregular injection are prevented from occurring.The fuel injection valve has a first groove cut in the periphery surface of the needle valve and the second grooves cut in a seat surface of the nozzle tip. The first groove is provided so that the needle valve is rotated by flow of the fuel in the first groove caused by reciprocating motion of the needle valve, and the upper and lower ends of the first groove are opened to the outside so that a part of fuel can be introduced in to the groove. The second grooves are twisted or tilted in the same direction as the rotating direction of the needle valve and are cut along the circumferential direction of the nozzle tip. The second grooves have an edge part for scraping off solid matters in the fuel into the second grooves in cooperation with of the tip seat surface of the needle valve affected by the rotation of the needle valve.
