    • A device for the electronically controlled lean out of mechanical fuel injected engines comprising a wide band air fuel ratio sensor and a printed circuit board (PCB) connected to the wide band air fuel ratio gauge/controller. The printed circuit board (PCB) is connected to the wide band air fuel ratio sensor's power, ground, and signal wires. The computer controlled stepper motor is connected to the printed circuit board (PCB). A variable valve spool is retained in a fuel block and connected to the computer controlled stepper motor. Rotating the variable valve spool continuously adjusts and controls the air fuel ratio of the engine in real time by regulating the amount of fuel returned the fuel tank and the amount of fuel delivered to the barrel valve in a mechanically fuel injected engine. A jet can be used in combination with the fuel bock to further fine tune the fuel flow.

    • A fuel injector comprising a valve needle for controlling fuel injection through an injector outlet, a control chamber for receiving fuel and a three-way control valve that controls fuel pressure within the control chamber to control opening and closing movement of the valve needle to control fuel injection through the outlet. The three-way control valve controls communication between (a) a first passage and a second passage and (b) a third passage and the second passage, and includes a first housing provided with a guide bore for a control valve member, whereby movement of the control valve member is guided within the guide bore and a first valve seat, defined by a second housing, with which an end of the control valve member is engageable to control communication between the first and second passages. The first housing is a control valve housing and the second housing is an injector housing, the injector housing being provided with a guide bore for the valve needle or a part carried by the valve needle. The control valve also defines a second valve seat defined by the first housing with which the control valve member is engageable to control communication between the second and third flow passages, and an intermediate housing located between the first and second housings, wherein the second passage is defined within the intermediate housing.

    • A valve assembly suitable for use as an inlet metering valve of a fuel injection system comprises an inlet opening, an outlet aperture, and a valve element arranged to control fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture. The valve element is moveable in response to an applied control signal to a closed position and to a fully-open position, and is biased to return to a rest position when the control signal is absent. When the valve element is in the rest position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively low rate. When the valve element is in the closed position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is substantially prevented. When the valve element is in the fully-open position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively high rate.
