摘要： A method for additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object includes: a) identifying a set of sequentially extending planar cross-sectional shapes of the three-dimensional object; b) cutting a metal sheet into a plurality of planar metal pieces, each metal piece cut to a metal piece shape corresponding to a respective one of the cross-sectional shapes, wherein the metal sheet has a first face with a first plurality of barbs extending therefrom, and an opposed second face with a second plurality of barbs extending therefrom; c) cutting a substrate sheet into a plurality of planar substrate pieces, each substrate sheet cut to a substrate piece shape corresponding to a respective one of the cross-sectional shapes; and d) positioning the metal pieces and the substrate pieces in facing relation in an alternating pattern and in sequential order, and pressing the metal pieces and substrate pieces together to force the barbs to penetrate the substrate pieces.

摘要： A nail plate is attached to the outer surface of a wall stud to protect a utility from penetration by nails or other fasteners driven through a wall surface. The nail plate has a substantially rectangular shape with a width corresponding to the width of the stud. The nail plate has a first and second longitudinal ends with nail tabs for attaching the nail plate to the stud. The ends of the nail plate have at least one recess and at least one protruding portion where the protruding portion can mate with a recess of an adjacent nail plate is ganged together. The nail plates can have coupling members to couple a plurality of nail plates in series in an end to end fashion. The longitudinal ends of the nail plate enable the ends to abut each other with no open portions that can allow a fastener to pass though. In one embodiment the nail tabs extend in a longitudinal direction with respect to a longitudinal dimension of the nail plate. In another embodiment the nail tabs extend in a transverse direction with respect to the longitudinal dimension of the nail plate.

摘要： A fastener for attaching grooved decking planks to a support member has a body defining an attachment opening spacing apart opposing legs extending from a shoulder. The legs have at least one frontward extending prong. The rear end of the body includes a bend transitioning to a lip. The front end may have downward extending teeth. A nose may extend from the front end while a tail may extend from the rear end of the body. Adjacent fasteners may be joined by their respective noses and tails to form a collated series of fasteners.

摘要： According to the present invention, a fastener for securing a first board to an underlying supporting member and to at least one other board running adjacent and parallel to the first board. The fastener includes a body portion, first and second prongs, and a flange. The first prong extends outwardly from the body portion for driving into a first board. The second prong extends outwardly from the body portion for penetrating a second board. The body portion of the fastener includes an opening for receiving a connector. When installed, the connector passes through the opening in the body portion and into the supporting member, which supports and underlies the first and second boards. The flange extends outwardly from the body portion in order to maintain a desired gap between the first and second boards. The prongs may have concave insertion ends as defined by two spaced-apart insertion points.

摘要： An improved membrane plate for attaching a membrane to a roof is disclosed. The improved membrane plate includes a plate body portion having a bottom surface for disposing the bottom surface against the membrane and an opening to permit a fastening device to pass therethrough for securing the membrane plate and the membrane to the roof. A plurality of spaced apart lances joined to said plate body portion by a hinged lance edge and extending downwardly from the plate body portion wherein the spaced apart lances are disposed upon the plate body portion to define an oval shape having a longitudinal oval axis. The hinged edges are aligned parallel to the longitudinal oval axis. The membrane plate is subjected to a shear force when attached to the roof and is disposed such that the longitudinal oval axis of the membrane plate is perpendicular to the shear force. The lances include longitudinal lance edges extending from the plate body to a lance tip and the longitudinal lance edges of all of the lances are aligned perpendicular to the shear force. The plate body portion can be an oval-shaped region. An annular ridge is formed to define a plurality of recesses and a lance of the plurality of lances is disposed within each of the recesses. A central hub region defined by an annular ridge is provided wherein the opening passes through the central hub region.
